Smoking room

My friends and I booked 2 rooms. One a smoking room which was not exactly the best, mold on the walls could have done with a good clean and freshen up and I am pretty sure the bathroom hadn't been cleaned. My friends room a non smoking room was much better clean tidy and in good repair. Everything worked staff very friendly but hotel needs a good upgrade. Lift was tiny and scary. For £22.00 a night we did not expect much it was a place to crash, we would prob go back in spite of the negatives.

Good value

Stayed overnight as had early meeti g in Manchester. Hotel very good value, only comment would be old portable tv in room but free wifi access in room an u expected bonus. Next time I will try the gym and sauna facilities which look to be good value at £4.

En Suite Hotel room at the price of Hostel

I was a little worried in staying here after reading some bad reviews. When I arrived, everyone was helpful and the lobby and bar area were clean. I did get a little confused in fiding my room with different elevators and stairs to take. The room was very basic but had everything you could need. The bed was a bit hard and more like a cot, but did the trick. TV remote didnt work, but no big deal I was just there to sleep.

Good value for money

Don't know if the price I paid was a special offer, but I don't think I could have asked for more at the price. Clean comfortable room, courteous service. Would be happy to use Brittania again

Britannia Hotel

On arrival at the hotel they could not find the correct key. The key given to us did not work. On second night room was not made up. Complained to Reception and said he could not give a refund as payment came from a third party. Room entered by member of staff at 10.45pm whilst we were in bed. Room changed, outside the room window were air conditioning units that ran 24 hrs/day. Have stayed here before and the Britannia lives up to its reputation of the worst hotel in Manchester. Staff rubbish, room average, general ambiance rubbish. A cheap and nasty hotel. Never again. Dont go unless you like total indifference to customers. A half star hotel.

great couple retreet

The hotel was great arriving at the hotel first impressions was very nice, at the desk the staff were very helpful they were quick and easy in checking in made us feel welcome to be at their establishment. Following on from the above the only disappointment which I have is with regards to the gym, I'm a member of spindles and I automatically thought I would be able to use the gym due to the fact that I'm a member of the one in Northenden Manchester but that was not the case. But besides that very good hotel and we look forward to coming back :)
