Airport stopover
Checked in at 7 pm, very efficient reception staff, however none of the other staff around offered to help with our luggage! We had room 59 which was at the rear of the hotel on the ground floor. The room was comfortable but the beverage tray could have done with more cartons of milk. The wc was difficult to flush and the shower knob fell off when turned. The air con unit flashed all night (probably our fault for not turning it off!) At 5.45 am we were wakened by a laundry van followed half an hour later by a waste lorry ! The alarm call at 7 am functioned well but we didn't need it ! Convenient for Jet Parks 1&2. We would try them again but hope they have addressed the plumbing issues!

Great value
My first room was a bit snug, I asked for another one and was rewarded with a beautiful room from which I got to view Manchesters' New Years Celebration of fireworks. The restaurant food was lovely and the service was warm and attentive. On the minus side just a few hiccups. A) lipstick smear on wine glass B) A spot of mold behind the bath tap C) Check out girl not up to your previous check in staff

This is the greatest little gem of a hotel, right in the middle of the airport. You would NEVER believe that you are within 1/4 mile from the manchester international terminals. It is very quiet and quaint, the staff is friendly and efficient. My only issue- If you are not traveling with your own computer, they do not have a public one for use.

Wonderful hotel!
Beautiful if you like historic homes, really lovely hotel with a bed-and-breakfast feel. Helpful staff, great free airport shuttle. My only complaints were that the main page claims they have free wifi when in fact it is a £6 charge, and the amenities booklet claimed there was in-room climate control and there was not. No big deal, i wasn't staying long enough to care about the wifi and an open window made the room cool off fine. But truth in advertising is important. Regardless, i'd gladly stay here again!

Perfect Airport Hotel
What a lovely place - perfectly located for a quick shuttle ride to and from the airport. Rooms are beautiful, the place is clean and tastefully decorated, it's quiet, the hotel bar and restaurant is a fine place for a light snack or a fuller meal, and the staff are friendly and courteous. The only complaint I had was that I thought I had read that there was free wi-fi, and perhaps there is for business meetings, but for guests wi-fi is by payment only. A small thing to quibble about, I suppose, and perhaps that is standard in the UK - not sure there. With that aside, though, I'd gladly spend a night or a longer vacation there.

Great location and value
We had to catch a flight home from Manchester the next morning and the hotel was convenient to the airport. The hotel was beautiful, historic, comfortable, and had excellent bath & shower facilities. The food was very good as well.

Short drive from hotel
It would have been nice to know we could have called the hotel and asked to be picked up at the hotel. Our taxi driver charged us 5 pounds to go 2-3 blocks (and he didn't know where it was). We knew there was a complementary shuttle (and used it the next morning) but did not know we could have the day before. Also, it would have been nice to have breakfast included like all of our other UK stays.

Etrop Grange
The hotel is beautiful, a true sense of staying in England with the Georgian features as well as modern conveniences. While near the airport, there are few options of places to eat while staying at the hotel, and the hotel restaurant prices seem high. The food is good but not exceptional. The primary complaint is that the bed slanted outward, gravity threatening to slide me out of bed throughout the night. There is no airport noise that we were aware of. The hotel is generally quiet, but we could hear remnants of a wedding party downstairs.
