The Old Trafford Lodge is situated on the grounds of The Lancashire County Cricket Club. The lodge is ideally situated being on the doorstep of Trafford Park and only five minutes from Manchester City Centre. Manchester International Airport is less than 20 minutes drive from the lodge, which is well served by an extensive motorway network (M60 only 2 miles away). The lodge is also next to Old Trafford Metrolink station. The lodge is also only five minutes away from Manchester United Football Club and ten minutes away from the Trafford Centre.

The main ones in the Old Trafford area are as follows: The Bishops Blaze: Only a quarter mile from the lodge and offers a selection of foods. Frankie and Benny's: Only half a mile from the lodge. This Italian restaurant offers a wide range of food, and is especially good for catering for families. Chiquitos: Only half a mile from the lodge, this Mexican restaurant is a very popular choice. Offering a wide range of foods, and situated on a prime spot next to the metrolink, which is handy for those heading off into Manchester. Hanrahans: Only half a mile from the lodge, Hanrahans is a very popular choice, with a wide selection of good quality foods, it is a prime spot for people to meet up if they plan to venture into the city. Live bands play there a couple of nights a week. The Beefeater: Only half a mile from the lodge. A great family bar which is situated right on the quays, which gives for a very pleasant view whilst eating a wide selection of high quality food. The Trafford Centre: Situated only 2 miles from the lodge, this giant shopping mall has a wide selection of restaurants to choose from with a wide range of different types of food. The Trafford Centre is a very popular choice with the lodge guests.
