From the city centre travel north along Deansgate. At junction with Blackfriars Street and St. Mary's Gate turn left over bridge. The Travelodge is on the right.

Manchester night away

I was really disappointed with my stay at the Travelodge. It was very 'tired', had an unpleasant smell and overall was not a particularly pleasant experience. It is unlikely that I would stay at any Travelodge again and I would certainly not stay at the Manchester Central.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Although the Travelodge was not a pleasant hotel, the location was excellent as it was within walking distance of the Manchester Arena so is perfect for seeing a show or band, so I would definitely recommend a town centre hotel so that it's easy to get to the Arena.

You know what you are getting!

It is great that this Travelodge has meals available, and is somewhere where a single femail traveller feels comfortable eating alone. A safe, convenient place to stay, which I would be happy to use again. More attantion to furnishings would be good eg: no drawers, no bedside table, shelf/desk on opposite side of the room to the mirror.

Cheap Stay

Stayed on a Saturday night, have stayed here previously, could do with being modernised. Hotel was a bit noisy, woken up at 5am with large groups of people arriving back after night out. rooms very basic, but only paid £29 so you only get what you paid for.

Basic Hotel

We booked this hotel as a spare of the moment night out in Manchester. We arrived by car in the afternoon. You needed to be a very expert parker to park your car in the car park, we paid £3.50 for two hours then had to go back to pay £7.50 for the overnight parking. We went to reception and asked if we could check in, she said the check in time was 3.00pm and if we wanted to check in earlier it would cost another £10.00. The room smelt musty and this smell was made worse by cheap air freshener, the room was very basic but clean. This hotel is ok if you just need somewhere to sleep at night but not to spend anytime in.
