Poor Quality, Run down.

Was given a room in an 1970's extension at the back, looked like it was falling down! See full review

An excellent Hotel that also houses an 18th century spa, fed by natural mineral springs from the ground. In addition all guests resident in the hotel have complimentary use of all on site leisure facilities, a thermal fed indoor plunge pool, sauna and outdoor tennis court. There is a free car park and this is an ideal hotel for exploring the beautiful countryside of the Peak District. (GW 05/2009) Regency facade and set within 5 acres of beautiful grounds. It is a 5 minute drive from Matlock town centre and a minutes drive from Matlock train station. The hotel has superb views over the Derwent Gorge.
