Maes Manor Country House Hotel is situated in the heart of the Welsh Valleys, with an elevated location set against nine acres of private landscaped gardens. With easy access to Newport and Cardiff on the nearby M4 motorway and splendid views over the surrounding countryside, Maes Manor offers a peaceful and relaxing base for both the business and leisure visitor. The delightful gardens offer guests the peace and tranquility much sought after in the modern world, idyllic views of which can be enjoyed in the Lounge Bar - perfect for light refreshments in a serene setting. The hotel has seen extensive yet sympathetic refurbishment, allowing the traditional ideals of this charming Country House to be integrated with modern day comfort. The majestic manor house is set in nine acres of terraced lawns and woodland areas that you can enjoy any time of the year and with its elevated position high on Maesrudded Hill there are spectacular views across the valley to be enjoyed. The hotel boasts 28 en-suite bedrooms, comprising of 14 in the main house and the remaining 14 in the beautifully appointed Coach House. Hotel offers Doctor on Call, Dry Cleaning, Laundry Service, Lobby, Non Smoking Rooms, Free Parking, Reception and Smoke Free Hotel. Wifi is charged at £5.00 per 24 hours.

The superb cuisine at Maes Manor has made the Seasons Restaurant one of the most popular dining venues in the area. Due to popular demand from dining customers, the hotel has recently refurbished the restaurant bringing the total capacity of the restaurant to at least 100 covers. The Menus are a combination of classical and traditional British dishes, which are changed seasonally. Private dining is also available should you and your guests require privacy for that special occasion. The Cocktail bar is open on a 24 hour a day basis to hotel residents and also available for dining at lunch and dinner time. During Summer Months, guests can also enjoy food and drinks in the peaceful and relaxing shaded patio.

The hotel and grounds are pictuesque

The hotel and grounds are pictuesque and well maintained. However the hotel is not easily found as it is up a narrow lane which is not well signposted. Also the hotel is out of the way and visitors would need to be willing to travel around for anything outside of the hotel. Apart from that we have no problems. Breakfast was very good---wide variety of choice and hot
