The Maids Head is a 4-star heritage hotel located in the historic quarter of Norwich city centre, opposite the famous Norman Cathedral and a short walk from the main attractions. Believed to be the oldest hotel in UK, it dates back to 12th century and was originally owned by Bishops in day of William the Conqueror. Queen Elizabeth and Catherine of Aragon are rumoured to have been amongst its guests. Today it offers both contemporary and period character bedrooms with free Wi-Fi and satellite TV. Feature rooms have air-conditioning and fireplaces. The award-winning WinePress@Wensum Restaurant offers a fine dining experience and the hotel also has its own tapas bar and Jacobean snug bar. Health and beauty treatments are available at the hotel. There is free Wi-Fi internet access throughout the hotel and ample free on-site parking.
