The Georgian main house dates back to 1754 whilst the adjacent Victorian Coach House (as its name suggests, formerly a stable block) was built just under a century later. Since we first came to The Old Rectory in 1995, the whole property has been tastefully and extensively refurbished creating, we hope, a warm and homely feel.A welcoming log fire awaits you after a days sightseeing or shopping in the winter months, whilst in the summer you can enjoy a leisurely drink or afternoon tea on the pool terrace, or perhaps take a dip in our outdoor pool(unheated)The Old Rectory is conveniently located just a few minutes by bus, car or taxi from Norwich city centre and railway station and Norwich International Airport is about 5 miles away. The Norfolk Broads National Park is a short drive and there are many interesting places to visit within easy reach including National Trust and English Heritage properties, RSPB and NWT reserves, museums, churches etc. Norwich has great shopping, interesting buildings(including two cathedrals and a Norman castle),theatres, cinemas and a large open air market open six days a week.
