Not overly impressed. The bed was not very comfortable and the whole room (although clean) looked tired and slightly mucky with stains on the carpet and sofa. It was also quite dark and not all of the lights worked, plus it was hot and the air conditioning did not work. Service was ok and location is excellent, however you find that you have to pay for parking (£9.50) for 24 hour.

Twenty years ago this would have been an excellent hotel. Unfortunately the bedrooms and facilities don't seem to have changed in those 20 years. The television was poor and the shower facilities even worse.
Location of the hotel is excellent, just a short walk from the City Centre and Railway Station.

I chose this hotel because of price and locatrion.and it"s proximity to the venue for the "firefest" music festival. I found the staff to be freindly and helpful. The restaraunt was clean and the food was very good. The lounge was comfortable and barstaff was prompt, frendly, and courteous.Drinks were a bit pricey.rooms were clean and comfortable. Bed was firm but not hard. I enjoyed my stay.

You can't beat the location, just three minutes' walk from the train station. The lobby and bar/restaurant are terrific and the breakfast buffet is an insanely good value. The staff are very friendlly, if some are a bit clueless. The room is sparse, clean, and modern, especially the bathroom. The downsides were a lumpy mattress and uncomfortable pillows, and a small TV with hardly any channels (one of which blanks out every 60 seconds). But given the price, location, and modern amenities, overall it's a very good hotel.

Room and en suite were very clean. Good facilties in room (hairdryer, iron, tea and coffee making facilities). Staff on reception were very helpful. There was a loud private party in reception when we stayed, but could not hear this from our room. It's about a 15 minute walk into the middle of Nottingham. Would stay there again if visiting Nottingham in the future.

Great location right in the heart of Nottingham. Tram and bus stops right out the door!
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Internet was broadband in the rooms, so you will need to bring a cable - WIFI is only available in the restaurant.

Would stay there again due to ideal location to city centre, literally down the street!!! Car parking was expensive even when discounted by the hotel £17 for 36 hours. had to move rooms due to a faulty air vent but staff were very helpful with this and we did get a bottle of complimentary wine.............. enev though we had to ask for it once promised. bar facilities not fab............ no soda or lemonade. This aside would recommend.

Close to the moterway (M1) Clean tidy and staffed by helpfull and willing people. Nice bar and reasonable resterant with nice menu if a little expensive. Beakfast is very good but at £15 is should be.
The cost of the room was very reasonable, food was not but over all the cost of the overnight stay was less than £90 inc diner, drinks and breakfast. Would I say again "Yes".

Lovely grounds, fantastic decor and vey comfortable. Will love to go back again one day because my visit was so rushed I did not have time to enjoy everything.

Description
This is a good hotel in the centre of Nottinham city and provides an ideal location for when visiting. There is a restricted number of car parking spaces available, with additional car parking for hotel guests being provided nearby at the NCP on Mount Street. (GW 05/2009) The building is modern in appearance. Conveniently situated on Derby Road Nottingham City Centre, you are within easy walking distance of the excellent shopping areas and the local night life with many bars, restaurants and cafes to choose from. Also in close proximity are the Theatre Royal and Concert Hall.

From J25 of M1 - Northbound:
Take the A52 towards Nottingham City Centre, follow the sign to Nottingham City Centre onto Maid Marian Way, at the roundabout take a right onto Upper Parliament Street A6008, where you will find Euro Car Park on your right.
From J26 of the M1 - Southbound:
At Junction 26 take the A610 exit to Nottingham/Ilkeston At A610, take the 1st exit onto A610 to Nottingham. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Nuthall Road, still the A610. Continue on Alfreton Road A610. Continue on Wollaton Street. Turn right at Tollhouse Hill to the next roundabout. Turn left at Upper Parliament Street and then take a right into the car park.
Walking:
To walk to the hotel please use the following directions: 0.3 miles and 6 minutes walking. Head west on Upper Parliament Street towards Hurts Yard. At the roundabout take the first exit onto Maid Marian Way and walk staright on for approximately 400 meters and the Hotel will be on the left handside.
Walking directions from Nottingham Train Station.
0.4 miles 9 minutes walking. Leave the station through the main entrance and turn right at Carrington Street/A6019 and walk approximately 350 meters and then turn left at Collin Street / A6008 after 100 meters turn right at Maid Marion Way / A6008 and walk straight on for approximately 300 meters the hotel will be on your right.

The Nottingham Belfry has superb leisure facilities, where guests can relax and enjoy the indoor heated pool, spa pool, sauna & steam room, Techonogym and six Spa treatment rooms offering a range of luxury body and beauty treatments as well as alternative and holistic therapies. The Nottingham Belfry is superbly situated on the edge of Nottingham, with its many historic buildings and fine shops; just minutes from Junction 26 of the M1.
