Reception staff made 2 mistakes

Reception staff made 2 mistakes 1, I paid in advance and they asked for payments and 2,they had the board B&B, worse they actually argued with me before checking the facts, once checked they did not even apologize for the mistake. I would not recommend staying here if you have any back problems as the mattresses are poor quality. The food was very poor, it was very bland and almost every part was over cooked. We will never stay there again and would not recommend to anyone. It was cheap , but not cheerful.

The hotel was clean and tidy and in a good location, food is very basic, only problem we had was that hotel club had not confirmed the booking with the hotel and it took 2 hours for the hotel to get the confirmation

Grand stay at Grand Hotel

This is a stately hotel, beautifully decorated. We had a sea view which was unexpected. Superb hot shower and comfy beds. Buffet meals in a huge dinning room overlooking Scarbrough bay, fantastic views. Even evening entertainment.

A genuine Grand Hotel although

A genuine Grand Hotel although it now provides budget accommodation. It may not be for everyone but we had a marvellous time. We were in a "premium" room which was quite large with fantastic views. Buffet breakfast and dinner were adequate with good variety, you do have to queue for a while though. Housekeeping, reception and restaurant staff were uniformly excellent. Highly recommended if you appreciate grand old buildings.
