Dining
- Stanford Room
- Stanford Room is an AA rosette restaurant full of tradition. At one time it was a chapel for a group of nuns who lived at Salford Hall during the 19th century. Oak walls, a large fireplace and original mullioned windows create a warm and welcoming room. The Stanford Room is open to residents and non-residents alike for breakfast, lunch and dinner although booking is strongly. Head Chef keeps his menu simple but innovative and uses only fresh produce, locally produced whenever possible. The restaurant team provide a very friendly, personal service but truly professional at the same time.
- Minstrels Bistro
- Alternative Dining, a casual dining area. Enjoy the out doors indoors within contemporary conservatory. Ideal for: Morning coffee, Light Lunches, Family Sunday lunches, Afternoon Teas and Evening Meals. Great new value for money menu!
- The Stratford Bar
- The Stratford Bar is located in the oldest part of the building dating from about 1470. This cosy bar with padded leather armchairs and burnished oak paneling is perfect for that pre-dinner drink. For lighter meals the Stratford Bar offers a delightful alternative to sit, relax and enjoy a glass of wine and a light snack.

Comfortable, nice price
Nice place, although we didn't like being put in the attic. Turns out the beds were comfortable, the room was clean, the bathrooms were new and it was very quiet. What more could you ask for?

Excellent value, staff friendly,
Excellent value, staff friendly, lovely hotel. Only one draw back is that rooms in the converted coach house/stable block can be noisy as you can hear noise above and around you.

The good and the bad
We understood that this hotel was close to Stratford Upon Avon where we were to attend a Shakesperian play. It was, however some 10 miles away along some very narrow and winding roads. When booking this reservation with Orbitz one of our decision factors was that we understood that breakfast was included with the room. However, we were told by the staff that the price we paid through Orbitz did not include the breakfasts. The hotel advertised in room WiFi and converters for American electrical plugs. Neither was available. Also, the phone in our room did not work even after we were told on three separate occasions that it had been turned on. On the positive side, the restored mansion was quite quaint as described in their brochure.

Very nice hotel well tended. Warm
Very nice hotel well tended. Warm welcome. Large size rooms. Good food. A memorable stay. It was difficult to leave. That's the kind of place you cannot forget where you feel at home.
