Great location
Great location for a short break to York. Parking available at £17 per day. We got a bed and breakfast deal with this hotel and paid for the 'plus' option which said it included bathrobes, chocs, wine and flowers. All we got was a small bottle of red wine so the plus option is a bit of a con! Breakfast was excellent and staff helpful and friendly. Would stay here again.

Good modern hotel in the heart
Good modern hotel in the heart of York and moments away from wonderful historic sites. However, the charge of £17 for parking in the hotel carpark was astonishing!

really good location, right near
really good location, right near clifford tower, museums and city centre. Room is nice n warm as you can adjust the heating setting as you wish. The breakfast is really delicious.would come bk again

Small rooms, with very small bathrooms
Small rooms, with very small bathrooms (6ftx6ft), no extractor, no free internet access. Power was cut off twice causing obvious problems as without hairdryer my wife doesn't do anything!!

The room was in urgent need of upgrading. The carpet was stained. The walls needing re-papering and painting. Quite expensive considering!!

Very small room, no aircon, unless
Very small room, no aircon, unless you count a free standing fan, and as it was hot (for the UK anyway), we had choice of hot and stuffy, or the fan circulating the air, but noisy. 90's internet connection and it took 3 calls to reception to get all the necessary parts delivered - then had to call the 3rd party supplier as it failed repeatedly, and that was a challenge as the phone was by the bed with a short lead and the computer was on the desk, with a short lead, and I couldn't reach the computer with the phone. Not what I expect from a Hilton - wouldn't stop there again and wouldn't recommend it.
