Situated just a short walk from the magnificent York Minster, medieval city walls and city centre shops, the privately owned Regency townhouse hotel is regarded as one of the top hotels in York and is recognised as one of the finest hotels in England. The slate grey walls, black leather chairs and modern art in The Ivy Brasserie, along with the relaxed atmosphere of the New York Grill, you can sit comfortably alongside the antique paintings, deep comfy sofas and blazing fires throughout the hotel. Relax and unwind , enjoy award winning food, luxurious accommodation and experience that famous Yorkshire Hospitality. Free on site parking is offered, however please note that spaces are limited and are available on a first come, first served basis. The hotel offers Free Breakfast to its guests.

Double Room
There are 36 unique and luxury en suite bedrooms . All bedrooms are individually designed and luxuriously decorated and well equipped to suit the needs of both business and leisure guests. They include telephones with a modem point, voice mail and direct dial facility, satellite television on flat screen LCDs, laptop safes and a hairdryer in each room. Complimentary wireless internet is available for guests throughout the whole hotel. Some of the Premier bedrooms also feature 17 inch flat screen TV's at the end of each bath and air conditioning. Bathrooms have quality showers, ceramic tiled floors, fluffy bath towels and luxury toiletries from Duck Island. Attention to detail and efficient room service ensures guests every comfort. The Green Room on the ground floor has large windows providing lots of natural daylight. It can seat up to 50 people theatre style. The sumptuous Morning Room, complete with open fire is perfect for meetings of up to 12 people. On the first floor, the elegantly furnished Library and Drawing Room combine to make a really exclusive venue for meetings of up to 24 delegates boardroom style or 50 theatre style. The Alcove, just off the Ivy Brasserie, is the perfect private room for small meetings of between 10 and 12 people. Wireless internet access is available free of charge, throughout the hotel for guests attending meetings and conferences at the hotel.

It is open for lunch and dinner every day except Sunday. Shame it was so busy

Nice hotel, good location, reasonable room but a bit short on parking. We stayed 1st weekend in December so hotel was full for Christmas parties. Therefore Kitchen couldn't cope for evening meal and food wasn't warm.
