Inlet Tower Hotel and Suites

We stayed there for one night, after arriving on a late flight, before driving out of Anchorage on vacation. The hotel van came promptly when we called, but it wasn't clearly marked, so we missed it the first time. It was a short ride to the hotel. The driver was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and had a big bed. for some reason, there was no TV in the room. There was an ironing board, but no iron. There was a window air-conditioning unit, and separate heaters. We couldn't get the room cooled down to where we wanted it. The heat wouldn't shut off as directed by the instructions. Overall, it was decent for a one night stay, but I wouldn't stay there for an extended period.

While the Inlet Tower hotel is nicely located with a great view of Cook Inlet, the hotel is transitioning to apartment housing - the regular 'residents' park in reserved spots, with the left over spots for 'guests' of the hotel, or visitors to the Pubhouse bar. Unfortunately, much of the 'guest' parking is used during the winter to store excess snow leaving few spots for the unsuspecting traveler - check with the desk at check-in about which spots are allowed, and avoid the nasty windshield note. It's unclear why the desk staff doesn't offer this info readily, but they don't.

was expecting more since this hotel was rated 3 star but it wasn't up to the mark. corridors had a weird smell and so did the room. we stayed there for 3 days and there was no change of towels until we requested for it. the drawers of one cabinet were loose and kept rolling out on their own! staff was friendly and helpful but the quality of the hotel was no more than 2 stars.

The staff was helpful when I had questions about billing. Their willingness to help convinced me to another chance at staying in this hotel.

This is copied and pasted directly from my Yelp review: Really I think this place deserves two stars, but I'm feeling nice and rounding up. I only stayed here one night so I can't comment on much, but this seems like a really strange hotel. Someone told me that it used to be an apartment building that was turned into a hotel. I can see that. It looks like it's in a state of renovation, as the carpeting in the hallways doesn't match, and the carpeting in the rooms is very old looking. The room was small but adequate. With the exception of the shuttle driver who picked me up from the airport, the staff members weren't super friendly. The bed wasn't particularly comfortable, but it wasn't rock hard or anything. The wall paper looked like it was from a cartoon map of Alaska drawn in the 1970s, and the carpet was old and a dark chocolate brown color. The most striking thing about this hotel was my bathroom. It had a large jacuzzi tub/shower, but it was so deep that it was at least three feet above the floor! I'm 5'9" and it was a stretch getting in to shower. Only after my shower, as I felt like a giant towering several feet above the bathroom floor, did I see the step stool tucked underneath the sink. Very odd. It would not have been handicapped accessible, or really even accessible to shorter people. Later, I heard a complaint from another guest that she had requested a handicapped accessible shower and the room she was checked in to was not. I believe I overheard the front desk clerk inform her that there are only three handicapped rooms and they were already in use. Sounds like poor planning on the hotel's part to me.

The cook inlet towers located in Anchorage Alaska is in desperate need of some cleaning! The floors in our room were filthy and they were never cleaned the entire time we were there (9days)! The drains were all very slow, especially the shower, yuk! Overall cleanliness very very unsatisfactory.

Reasonably good but you have to call them to pick you from Air port or Rail. & they take lot of time. Other wise my experience is good

Nice bedding, helpful staff, good food. On the downside a bit overpriced for its condition.... but then I guess they need to make the most of peak season in AK.

Was surprised at all the new people on the staff. Shuttle service much appreciated. Accomodations for fresh fish to be frozen made the trip home go smoothly.

The whole room was clean, the bath fixtures were not outdated or stained. Clean crisp sheets and nice comforter. I will stay again.
