I felt that this hotel really has great and friendly staff. I know they offer airport pick-up and delivery, but I haven't tried yet, since my friend and I rent a car during that time.

Bad night!
We have stayed at this hotel over the years some 12 times,always feeling safe and it being quiet. Last night we came very close to calling the police since the front desk would not answer our phone call. One of the guest felt they did not have to be Quiet and let their kid run up and down the hall till 3:00am when another guest told them to be quiet thats when the fight broke out and again at 5:30am and again at 7:00 am .....where was the manager? We won't be coming back...this was scary.

Microtel Hotel and Suites Anchorage
Two of our party were feeling unwell so we appreciated the comfort of the room -- beds, shower, etc. I had a little difficulty with temperature control but that may have been me more than the thermostat. Laundry was handy since we wanted to return home with some clean underwear. Biggest problem was there were no restaurants or other services in the immediate vicinity.

Short drive from hotel
It was about a mile to the nearest restaurants, even more to any kind of decent shopping. I am not blaming Microtel for this.

Comfortable and quiet
We were there just to make a connection the next day. That evening we lost a pair of prescription glasses in the lobby. We searched the lobby and couldn't find them. We inquired of the clerk who said he hadn't seen them. We inquired of the next clerk who said she would call us if they were found. After we left and were hours away we got a call, for which we were grateful, that the glasses were found. Unfortunately the hotel wouldn't make the effort to drop them at the Princess desk in the airport so we could get them that day. They did ship them to our home which is appreciated. However our cruise was less than perfect because everything was blurry.

Bang for your buck
the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was convenient. The air conditioning didn't work. The view from our window was the side of another building (approx. 5 feet away). There weren't enough tables or chairs for guests to sit and eat breakfast, so guests were left to standing or sitting on the couch or overstuffed chair and balancing your paper plate on your lap.
