Our historical inn was built in the 1880s as a home and has evolved throughout the changing times. The property became an inn in 1985 and features unique guest hotel rooms, 3 main house rooms and a guest house, plus gracious southern hospitality. Our restaurant is acclaimed for Nouveau American dishes with ethnic sauces and spices, each complimenting the other. Our wine selection is chosen to complete the culinary experience.

Interesting

We had to stay one night in Anniston somewhere. We could have chosen any of chain hotels available around town. The price was just about same as other hotels available with free breakfast, but we wanted something interesting. We saw The Victoria and decided to try one night. Our room was one of the back of modern rooms added 25 years ago. There is a refrig. and microwave in the room. Free breakfast is served in the old victorian house and they had scrambled eggs, grits and gravy along with continental breakfast. The staff was very nice and they let us go upstairs of the old house and peek the guest rooms that were not used. There is an elevator in the modern rooms addition at the far end of the building. If you don't use an elevator you will walk up and down the stairs a lot. If we have to stay in Anniston again, we will go back to The Victoria and try a dinner there next time.

Out of the Ordinary

Great place...unbelievable breakfast...acoustically challenged...you can hear everything that happens in the unit above. Rates appear to be considerably lower if you reserve directly through the hotel.

Wow! A real Gem.

I had debated on staying at this location which was a little further down the road, but instead opted for a chain hotel, which was more expensive and didn't even have hot water. This place is awesome, if you are a fan of classic southern architecture, this is worth the trip for that alone. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet, and yes, their hot water worked just fine. I highly suggest checking in early enough so you can try their three course dinner, and stay long enough to have breakfast. Places like this are a rarity but become destination points for myself when traveling.

The three course menu changes daily, they told me, but there were plenty of options(almost too many)to choose from. Its not very often you get a 5 star meal without the 5 star price tag.

Victoria Inn

Nice main building. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Walls are a bit too thin. No internet access from room! Restaurant is excellent. They need drapes in the room. I like to sleep in the dark.

Nice Change from your typical hotel

Nice change from the hum drum typical hotel. Great breakfast- good southern one consisting on biscuits, gravy, bacon and eggs. Only issue during the day- in the downtown Aniston area close to hospital. Occasional sirens but none noted at night. The beds are the most comfortable that I have slept in. Good southern hospitality. Would definately reccomend. Would have given it a 5 star if the location wasn't such a busy area of town.

Beautiful!!! exceeded expectations!

The staff (especially [...] @ front desk during check-in) at The Victoria really went above and beyond to ensure I had a comfortable stay at their beautiful establishment and all my needs were met. I stayed in The Cottage. Some light maintenance updates in Cottage could be performed to get 5-stars but still ***Highly recommended***.

Nice quite time

Very quite, great breakfast, we did have a problem with the elevator. It was out of order and we was on the second floor. My husband is on oxgyen so it made it very inconvience for him to get around. But it was a very lovely place a great place for couples. I probably will never go back but I do recommend it.
