Not what you expect from a Marriott.
It was not what I expected from a Marriott. The bathroom door frame was sprung, and would not close fully. The carpets were dirty. The noise from the freeway was very loud. The lack of soundproofing between the floors was very apparent. The only good thing about the stay was the staff. They were very good in their job. I've stayed in a lot of Residence Inn's, but this one really soured me on the chain. The TV in the room was a 19" tube. You've got to be kidding me!

Birmingham Marriott
Residence Inn was a great experience. Location was fine for our needs and the facilities surrounding facility were abundant! Need smoking rooms.

Horrible Experience
They charged an outrageous $75 pet fee for a one night stay. This was the cost of room itself. Also, my daughter left her precious teddy bear in the room and they could not find it! I had to call everyday for four days just to talk with their director of housekeeping and they were still unable to locate the teddy bear.

Pretty Good Hotel
Nice Hotel. They did have a party of children in the pool area which was pretty noisy. Nice breakfast and room.

Old and worn out
I would not recommend this hotel. Eveything in the room was outdated and worn out. The towels where too harsh almost like sandpaper. Interenet access was not consistant and help from hotel staff did not know what to do or when the system would be fixed. Overall my stay was horrible and I would not recommed it to anyone.
