Pretty nice room for the price!
The hotel was on a good part of town. We had fun on the pool. The room was stocked with all the equipment required for a long weekend stay even though we only spent the night. For the price I paid, I expected a lot less.

Good for the money
The room was nice, continental breakfast was only stale pastries and expired milk. Pool okay, needs a ladder, had to climb out every time. Had to ask for linens every day, but I did eventually get them.

STAY AWAY
This was one of THE WORST experiences with a hotel that I have ever had. I arrived late (11:30 PM) with my 13-year old granddaughter. I had called ahead to tell them I would be late, and they said, "no problem."(I didn't expect that there would be.) When I arrived, the front door to the lobby was OPEN, I mean literally, OPEN, did not close securely, and never was closed. The lights were DIMMED in the deserted lobby--yes, DESERTED--there was no one at the desk. I called out for someone and no answer. I finally found a bell to ring and someone came from downstairs, checked us in and immediately went back upstairs. The room was clean, but warm. No problem, I can turn on the a/c. I set it at 76, which is usually PLENTY cold enough for me, but by the time my trip was over, it was down to 68 and just barely cool for myself and the now 3 grandchildren I had acquired. The refrigerator didn't work well, either. It was turned to coldest, and barely kept things preserved. There was a coffee maker, but only one set of condiments for it, and it was located, along with the ice bucket---in the BATHROOM! UGH! I took my granddaughter for breakfast in the morning. Advertised was "an INCREDIBLE breakfast." Incredible is not quite what I would have called it. Honey buns had been halved and placed in the shelf with a few mini-cinnamon rolls (the kind that come 3 to a pack for $1.00) and some bread to make toast. The coffee was instant coffee made in a thermos, and near empty when I got there. The coffee pods in the room had better coffee. In the kitchen was a sign stating "You are not allowed to remove food from the kitchen area." WHAT?????? There was no one there to ask for assistance. The next day, my granddaughter discovered that the cereal that had been provided was stale. The "OJ" was Sunny Delight--not that I mind Sunny Delight, but it isn't really orange juice. When I left in the morning, I left the "Maid Service" sign on the door. I returned around 11:30 or 12 only to find that the room had not been touched. Shortly after we returned, someone came and knocked on the door, asked if we had any dirty towels, waited for me to collect them, and said "I'll be back with clean towels." An hour and a half later, I had to go searching for clean towels, and there was STILL NO ONE AT THE FRONT DESK. The same man who collected my dirty towels was in the laundry room (where I was finally directed to go) and when I asked him for clean towels, he looked around and told me he didn't have any there, I would have to go the front desk and get them. I told him I would, IF there was someone at the desk. He took me around and gave me 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels and 2 wash cloths--this for a room with 2 queen size beds. Later, after the kids went to the pool (which, by the way, had a sign up stating there would be a charge for non-paying guests to use--$9.00 for adults and $4.00 for children), we needed extra towels. When we asked for them, we were told there would be a charge for extra towels. WHAT????? SINCE WHEN???? No one ever did come in to actually provide "maid service." The trash needed to be emptied and I had to go search, again, for coffee and condiments for our second day. She seemed quite annoyed that I even asked for it. Also, when I returned that mid-morning, I thought I would park in the back and go in through the side door. Guess again. The door was locked with no access to get in. I went inside and attempted to GO OUT that door, and it was locked from the inside, too. I do believe that was a fire escape door, with no access. The ice machine for my building was in the back hall, next to the locked door, torn apart and rusting. I had to go to another building to get ice. I was there on two weekdays. This hotel is located in the center of town, surrounded by name hotels. I could have gone to Motel 8 or Days Inn and paid 1/2 the price for twice the service. The front desk help (on the rare occasion that there was actually some...

Stop don't go there!!!
We were there for our annual swim meet. The pictures on the internet looked great but not the same in person. They gave us a second floor room ,I have a bad back and there is no elevator ,they could not accommadate us so we had to carry our bags up this sweeping staircase.Motel is attached to a bar with a band playing until late.We could here it in our second flour room. The toilet ran everytime you flushed it so you had to take the back off to fix it and yes we called for maintenence HAHA.The continental Breakfast was more like a concelation breakfast.Next year I'll go back to Howard Johnsons it's a little further away but a much better deal.Oh I almost forgot the headboards on the bed "one was higher then the other and when you touched the one the post feel out in you hand"the other thing that was amusing was the security doors said no entrance after 9pm but none of them were ever locked.

WARNING!!!!!
*******WARNING!!!****** PICTURES ARE DECIEVING!!! ****This was actually the worst experience with a hotel I have ever had. I travel a lot for work and with friends. The pictures are very deceptive. The staff was not friendly. I was in town for the Alabama Awakening Conference near the hotel. I checked in at 6:30 pm to the musty, moisture stained lobby. (Later to find out it is nicotine stained, not moisture) My thoughts were, "I am only staying the one night, if the room is clean I will be OK...." Dropped my bag in the room turned on the IPOD so it would play worship music in the room while I was gone, prayed over the room and left. I left for the meeting right away, and returned at 12:30 am...The lobby was full of smoke, my room smelled of smoke, the hallways were full of smoke....The lounge "Night Club" downstairs in the lobby was full and the over flow of smoke was to much, they must not have any ventilation... I do NOT smoke and requested a NON-SMOKING ROOM…my clothes smelled from walking thru the lobby to my room...which was a very short distance... which again I thought "If my room does not smell, I will be OK just get through the night." I walked into my room and an alarm was going off, truly the alarm was going off. I grabbed my bag and went to the front desk and asked for a refund, only to be told they do not refund for rooms. The clerk told me the policy was on my receipt. However, it is NOT written on the receipt anywhere! Nor could she produce a written policy of any kind. I asked repeatedly for a written policy, only to be ignored…She called and woke the manager, who would not speak with me on the phone, he only spoke with the clerk. The clerk was very rude as she explained the situation to the manager. I smiled at her trying to be as pleasant as possible, in a smoked filled lobby, yet was getting no where with her...I took her name, the hotel manager's card and I do intend to call the BBB and the manager directly today...In closing ******WARNING*********DECEPTION RAMPED IN THIS PLACE******
