Speachless
I arrived, checked in and within 10 minutes I was in the elevator and a woman asked me if I knew where to get drugs. About 5 minutes later, two men stopped me from walking to my car and asked me if I wanted to party with them. As I was walking to dinner a girl came out of the pool area and asked me if I would walk with her because there was a police officer in a car watching her. At 2:00AM in the morning, I heard shouting and discovered two people sitting under my window in a argument, I called the front desk and it took 20 minutes till it subsided. Within 10 minutes it started up again. At 3:00AM in the morning, my phone rang and it was someone wanting to know if I had any cigarettes. I called the front desk and told them I needed to leave, that I did not feel safe and they went their security guard to escort me to my car. They were nice enough to give me a refund........

Run down hotel
Didnt expect much because it was so cheap, but the floor was nasty, microwave didnt work, hair dryer didnt work, extra lock on the door was broken, and there was burn marks on the blankets in a non smoking room! Will not stay there again!!

Sleep, Shower ... save $
jeez ppl ... is <$35 rm! u should bring ur OWN toiletries. hsv is a city = noise at all hrs; yes, rms are older; place has been there for ~40 yrs; u CAN smoke (if request smoking rm); :"upgrade to motel w/ shuttle" ... now, that's a laugh ... holiday inn at the end of the block is ~$100; u'd do better using taxi OR hsv DOES have bus srvc! don't need reservations; can check-in anytime 24/7. LIKE having a clock in room. clerks r usually students

horrible1 horrible! horrible! the room was supposed to be non-smoking but i could smell cigarettes in it. the room look old and dirty and the carpet was also dirty and had stains. they were lots of people walking around in the middle of the night, yelling all sorts of things and police cars kept coming in and out at all hours....horrible! do not stay here! its scary!

THE NOT SO GREAT HOTEL
THE PRICE WAS GREAT HOWEVER I SHOULD HAVE EXPECTED TO GET WHAT I PAID FOR. IT WAS VERY CROWDED AND LOUD, SEEMED TO BE OUT OF PLACE FOR ITS LOCATION. I WOULD NOT STAY HERE AGAIN. I WAS UNABLE TO CHECK IN ON TIME SO IF YOUR IN A HURRY THIS IS NOT YOUR HOTEL.

Price was okay, not up to expectations, and not clean, old furniture and not clean restroom, tore floor and wall.

Disappointed and Frustrated
Poor place to go.
My Orbitz reservation did not go through. I had to pay full price for my room rather than the deal I was supposedly getting through Orbitz. And there is no way this hotel is even a 2 star. One star at best. The room was tiny, dirty and torn up. There wasn't even any complimentary shampoo. No card listing service or desk phone numbers.

The US Space and Rocket Center is nearby, right off of I-565. They have full size rockets on display, including a Saturn V and a Space Shuttle.

very cheap hotel!
1st room was very filthy when I came back in the evening the door to my room was open! And I checked before I left and it was locked. BUT NOTHING WAS MISSING!!!! 2nd room I got after the open door issue was ok

I relied on public transportation, which does not exist. no shuttle bus to/from airport. so for the money the cab cost, you can do a nice upgrade in a hotel with a shuttle

[...] with no reservation i was suck in a smoking room that smelled like a chain smoker lived there for several months. over all it was a cheep room but you get what you pay for.
