Conveniently located 1 block from Springdale & Belair Malls and 2 blocks from Springhill Memorial Hospital, this Red Roof is within 1 mile of Springhill College and Golf Course, 3 miles of Hank Aaron Stadium, 5 miles of downtown Mobile, and 10 miles of the USS Alabama Battleship, the Alabama Battleship Museum, and the University of South Alabama. This Red Roof is surrounded by a variety of great restaurants!

Never again

This motel is in a weird area, weird guests as well...at 10 pm someone knocked on my door and then just left... The staff was alright, but not really too nice...the room was kinda filthy. Would not stay there again!

nice but low end

Staff good. Stayed 2 days, no internet the second night. A few bad seeds roaming around in the wee hours of the morning. (2am, 3am) Woke me up. But no problems.

good for overnight stay

I think my room was good for the money for an overnight stay. There were a few other questionable characters staing there, but I had no problems with them or noise from them. The floor of the room needs a good cleaning. Other than that, the room was pretty clean. i would stay there again.

Good for quick stop not a stay

This Red Roof Inn was not the worst nor best of the hotels in the area. The A?C was good. The bathroom was very small. There was inadequate space for clothing. There was no ironing board or iron available. There was no real internet ability to speak of (dial up if you disconnected the phone). Parking was close to room, but the semi trucks tookup a great deal of the space. We did not feel secure leaving items in room during day or in auto at night. Next time we will be staying at one of the other hotels in the area.

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

There is a walmart and other store around the corner. There is also the local mall at the previous exit. Not a lot of choice as far as food close by. But is a direct shot to the downtown area.

Helpful Staff

The Red Roof Inn was acceptable for the price. It was old and there was some damage on one spot on the wall and stains on the chairs at the table. The staff was helpful. My sister and I needed assistance with our luggage. One of the male employees carried our luggage to our room and would not accept a tip. This was unusual for us. While there was no restuarant, there two vending machines.
