Tuscaloosa Stay
We sought economy and found it. However, we didn't expect such a small room encumbered by a small refrigerator blocking access to the bed, a remote that didn't work, a crumpled up list of TV channels, a slow running sink and an iffy toilet.

Great Value!!
The lady at the front desk was very courteous and helpful. My room was clean and I slept so good in the bed. The room wasn't large but it was just what I needed for my overnight stay.

Nice and reasonable
IF you're just looking for a one-night stay with a decent and clean room, this is your place. There is nothing special about the hotel, but it is easy to get to and the staff was extra friendly. Rooms are not overly large, but work well for the price.

Easy to find, got a great rate, very comfortable beds for a place in this price range; the property is average and typical, but it was clean and a great value. Would stay again.

Disappointed Guest
"The good, the bad, and the ugly"
I was a little disappointed. To start, we had to request a second room the first night. The windows were broken with shattered class and the room smelled moldy. Several other rooms had broken windows. Not sure if this was a result of the tornado (April 27th) or not. The room was next to the stairwell and exit door. When asked if the side exit doors are lockd at night (after a set time) for safety, I was told they never lock the doors. The second room was better, however it was missing a refrigerator that was advertised. The clerk was nice. She personally carried the refrigerator to the room. Once settled in, the stay was ok. You get what you pay for. Nothing exiting or extra. The continental breakfast was ok.

Find Different Hotel
Check into hotel, 1st room we were in was full of empty beer cans, 2nd room we were moved into was not very clean, sheets were not white, yellowish and A/C was falling apart. Tried to leave hotel but had to stay since they would refund my money due to booking on the internet.

THIEVES
My son & I drove TWELVE HOURS to donate our time during Memorial Day weekend to the Tuscaloosa disaster relief. We booked a 3 night stay, but checked out a day early. I was told I couldn't get a receipt due to internet booking. They charged me the FULL 3 DAYS & refuse to refund the last day. If you visit Tuscaloosa, please donate your time, but DO NOT give your money to MICROTEL

Nice, but pricey
Hotel room was clean, but very small. Might be claustrophobic for some couples. A complimentary breakfast was advertised, but it was week. Not much more than a few muffins and breakfast snack bars and packaged donuts. Safe neighborhood with a McDonalds very close bye. Just a little pricey for what you get. Very close to I-20 if you are needing to get off and on the interstate.

Good place for overnight stays
Good stay for over night! Was there for the A-Game, so we just needed a place to crash, and shower. Wouldn't recommend it for a 4 or 5 night vacation, however.

Better Hotels In The Area
Hotel is poorly ran by untrained staff who are unresponsive. [...] had to wait 2 days for refrigerator to be moved in and only place to plug in left it in the way. Ad says recent remodel, however must have been done by incompetent workers (probably the owners since they got grout all over everything in the bathroom)Reported the first night of 4 that internet was not working in my room, other guests had same problem. Each time reported they said they were working on it. I was even told they called the internet company, however the last night the owners climbed up in the attic trying to boost the signal. Breakfast consists of little debbie snack cakes and no OJ all the time I was there. The best thing was the owners who live there having play time in the hallways each evening. Although I will miss the long black hairs all over the bed clothes they left when making the bed. Disgusting!!!!
