Good Winter Choice
In the past I have always stayed at the Crescent but decided to give this a try. We were heartily welcomed by the front desk staff and given good directions to find the building where our rooms were located. The hotel is spread out in several buildings on a step hillside, which is typical for the area. We ate 2 breakfasts at the restaurant (Mrytle's) which I highly recommend. Try to get a table by the rear windows where you can watch the birds swoop down and land on the roof. The buildings are somewhat dated, with room doors opening directly to the parking lot, but everything appeared well-maintained. Our room was large, the mattress was comfortable, and the bathroom had an exhaust fan. I appreciated the ability to adjust both temperature and water velocity on the shower, which I rarely see these days.

Parking hint for downtown shopping: if you see a parking space at a meter, take it immediately because it will be gone by the time you go around the block. Be sure to have plenty of quarters because that's all they take. Otherwise I recommend leaving your car at your motel/hotel and using the trolley. Then you don't have to worry about the meter.

Older but Nice
This is an older hotel and the outside shows evidence of this. However the room have been renovated and are very nice inside. The Staff was very fiendly and helpful. The minature golf and pool area is very nice.

The onsite resturant was dirty and our waitress was rude and distracted. Go elsewhere for breakfast.

Hotel staff very friendly, great service. Had been asked immediately when we arrived if there was anything that we would like! Great!!! Rooms spacious and clean. Ammenities even though we did not get a chance to enjoy we still took a look and they looked very nice and fun. The jacuzzi was a disappointment because there was a beer bottle cap on the ledge and the vent looked unsanitary. The restaurant setting was attractive yet the food itself tasted as if it was fixed with a micro wave.

Short drive from hotel
Having access to the trolley car right outside the hotel was fantastic. We were able to get on the trolley and go through the shopping district and get off at any point and jump back on when ready.

I liked everything about this place except for one thing the hot tub should be open until 11:00 pm instead of 10:00 pm
