Staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit dated and the room was a little musty smelling BUT the locations was good & the room was very clean.
The "WIRELESS" availability is "nill". AT 1:00AM I went to the lobby to use the "hard wired" hotel computer and a guest (looking very weary) was on it. They told me they hadn't been able to get on line from their room either. When they relinquished the computer for my use the computer was sooooooooooooo slow I couldn't believe it. (Probably a virus)
On another note, the hotel serves delicious cookies at 5:00P. Every staff person was professional, courteous and genuinely seemed to like working there ;-)

Candlewood Suites a good buy

We stayed at Candlewood for a family wedding. It was a good buy. The room was clean and spacious and we loved the convenience store and kitchen. Parking was good also. Great location. A little wild with some kids and families attending a ball tournament - but I would stay there again.

The deco was from the 1970's. Room had a smell, and I accedently stepped on a roach in the bathroom. The old white towels were yellowed with age and use, but clean. Bad TV reception and remote, and the beadspread had several burn holes in it. The best feature was the hot water in the shower, but I was left somebodys half used little bottle of shampoo from a different hotel to use.

Brand new hotel. A bit hard to find behind shopping center, street address not in GPS. Good location right off Rogers. Free wireless internet in rooms. Computer for internet use just off lobby. Nice free breakfast with rolls, cereal, waffle maker, coffee and juices.

I was there for 2 nights on business. I had a problem with the deadbolt not working properly and they had it fixed before I got back from my meeting. Very good service and breakfast was great!! Rooms were clean and pleasant.

1st day was good, nice hotel always clean. 8:30 this morning was in my underwear when the door was opened by housekeeping, no knock or annoncement.
3 -4 minutes later was called and asked who i was as the room was not to be occupied. I told the lady at the desk she personally checked me in and was given the rooom i was staying in. Later around 10:30 took some baggage to the car and spoke to a blonde nice lady, housekeeper.. she asked if i was checking out, I told her we would at noon , my wife was dressing. She came back at 11 or so knocked on the door and asked my wife if we were leaving??????? So not a good experience, my wife and i met in ft smith once a month as i work in memphis but our home is in oklahoma.

Coutyard Marriott Fort Smith AR is new, beautiful with a full breakfast and cocktail bar. It was a good experience, not just because it was my aunts 100th birthday celebration/Love Fest. Also a small pool and hot tub and I enjoyed the gym.
The breakfast servers/cooks received us warmly as each time we came down for breakfast our group would expand measureably as other family members would join. Stay above 2nd floor.

This is the only Marriott I've foundd that did not include the breakfast buffet int he room price. Few dinner foods.And only one computer in the "business center"
Atmosphere was wonderful. nice airy, open well color conrdinated lobby conducive to small group conversations. Buffet staff was wonderfully attentive. All hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. In walking distance of convention center.

I was in Fort Smith, AR for business. The rooms usually lack flavor regarding business travel. When I opened the door to my "home away from home" I was very impressed. Tall ceilings, ceiling fan, an AC that woked very well, a complete mini kitchen w/two-eye stove, garbage disposal and a non-mini fridge. The bathroom was very spacious with granite (like) countertops and a huge walk in shower with two shower heads. The fitness center was pretty standard, but there was an indoor pool and even a (half) basketball court located outside. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone from business to family travel. This hotel is located at the entrance to the airport. Excellent for business travel, and never heard the first plane. Nice running path to the airport also.

Not a memorable stay

Upon arriving, I asked the staff to show us several rooms. They were all the same size, small. The bathroom was very small with barely any room to manuver into the shower/bathtub. The shower/bathtub was crimmy with soap scum that had not been cleaned in a very long time. The ammenties, as in the full complimentary breakfast, was poor to say the least. The eggs were definately made from powder, the bacon was rubbery and the saugage was spongy in texture. Yuck.... Obviously the food was brought in and not even prepared on site as there is no kitchen. By the way, the staff said to me they are know for their great breakfast!! The price was way, way too high for the rooms. I was expecting a lot more for our money. The only nice thing that I can say is the beds were comfortable. By the way, I did lift the mattress to check for bed bugs. Did not see any, thank goodness!!!

The bathtub was not very clean. It needed repairs. some of the tiles were peeling off in the bathtub. The room had a smoke odor.
The staff were very friendly, the location was good. The motel needed to be spruced up. It looked very old.

Hotel was very seedy, Hard to imagine that it had a major hotel name attached to the hotel. It is not far from the wrecking ball.

When we arrived our room was not ready then we were given another room that had such a horrible smell it gave us both a migraine. Then the stff came up to our room said they did not smell anything but agreed to move us to another room that smelled just not as bad. The bathroom was not very clean and the only nice staff was the woman being trained to work at that location.

My fiancee and I made a huge mistake staying at this hotel. The hotel is right next to a night club! The rooms are not very clean. We had to argue with a staff member to receive extra clean towels. The bathroom tub drainage system would back up. There was a ironing board in the room but no iron. The breakfast at this hotel was simply a joke. If you are staying for more than one night, you must accept the housekeeping service when it is offered to you or you are out of luck. If you are thinking about staying here, do yourself a favor and spend the extra $10-15 and stay somewhere else.

The motel was cheaper than others in the same area, but does not offer free wifi. Wifi for 24 hours is $2.99, which should be free.

We were 2 sisters traveling together & spent one night at Motel 6 in Ft. Smith, AR. The motel was easily accessed from I-540. The room was clean, if small. One bed was completely blocking the air conditioner & had to be moved for the room to cool. There was a large gap between the door & the door facing, large enough to see through. There were large truck & farm equipment in the parking lot that made parking difficult. Some of the residents were outside our door most of the night, drinking, smashing bottles, talking loud, laughing loud, smoking. With the gap at the side of the door, ALL of this came right into our room. Even with the locks & a chair wedged beneath the door knob, we both felt unsafe & barely slept at all. It was a very uncomfortable night & neither of us will ever stay there again.
