Great Family Getaway

The rooms were great, spacious and clean. The pool area was the best part of the hotel. We were a little disappointed in the breakfast area. It seemed that the hotel must have been short on help, the lady at the deak was having to handle the breakfast area and her area. We finally went out to eat breakfast, which was an added expense.

Long Wait, Confused Staff, But nice room

Upon arrival, we were not greeted for more than 20 minutes. Upon being greeted we were presented with problems. I prepaid for the room, orbtiz and the hotel had not communicated and attempted to report I had not paid. My credit card co. had to confirm the rooms were paid for [...] The staff attempted to charge me more than the agreed upon price & then tried to conveince me to just call my bank and cancel the charge when the "real one," came through. Of course I disagreed because I had already paid. Literally 1.5 hrs after sitting in the lobby, and my friends fell asleep on the lobby couches. We were finally allowed to check in. The staff was not courteous and there were several problems with other guest at the check-in while we waited for the 1.5 hrs. Then we were told the rooms were still being cleaned (after 3:00 p.m.) Once we got in the room it was nice. The pipes in the wall made weird noises when turning on the water, but the beds were soft. The breakfast was also good. The staff was not personable. I was in town to throw a surprise Birthday party for my mother so this was Not the way I wanted to start this trip. The Plus Side: Hotel was clean and nice.

Nice Renovated property

This property has been renovated and is has an attractive lobby. The room was nice size, but it has a very awkward layout. The TV will not turn to face the sofa, so you have to sit on the bed to watch or at the desk, which makes no sense at all. The fridge door opens from the wall side, again- just awkward. The place was clean, but had a strange smell in the room. Not sure if the previous person had used the microwave- it wasn't a good smell. Took out travel Febreeze and went to town. The bed was comfortable. Staff was accommodating and helpful.But- it was NOISY. I could hear the lobby music and the next room's television.

Nice, Clean, Responsive

The front desk could have been more aware of directions, attractions. Not a stong negative to keep you away from this place; although parking was very tight The suite was clean, and everything worked..

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

Very neat European restaurant down the street called The Pantry. Unfortunately, the front desk only knew where the Burger King was..thankfully, friends led me to the restaurant.
