Major Disappointment

The pictures on website were very misleading. The street side of hotel was nice but that was all. There was heavy water damage just outside our door. Our sink was completely clogged. Popcorn ceiling. Old tv. Spend your money somewhere else. Apathetic staff.I would have left if I hadn't already unpa cked kids so late.

Good location

This is a decent hotel in good location, easy access to freeways and 1.5 hours from The Grand Canyon, South Rim. There is a nice Indian restaurant across. The staff was friendly. Be punctual to the breakfast buffet, they close promptly at 9:00 am.

ughh

The room was dirty, the shower didn't work properly, and it is actually a motel, not a hotel. The Pool and spa were out of order. Wasn't satisfied.

3 Stars how?

I'm not sure how they rate this at 3 stars. I thought we were getting a deal but it definitely did not live up to expectations. First of all I didn't understand how 2 queen beds cost ten dollars less than 1 king size bed. After a long drive we wanted to take a nice shower. However the one knob for the shower had to be placed just right to get the optimal temperature. One slight move here or there it may be freezing or scolding. My fiancee remarked she saw mold. During the night, not much seemed to be done to quell the other louder guests. The breakfast area was in shambles and overcrowded. It was so bad we went across the street to the grocery store. This place is ridiculous. Don't go!

Overnight Stay

The rooms were comfortable and the kids loved the new flat screen t.v.I prefer hotels that have a door between the bathroom, including the sink area. However, this hotel did not have this feature. Our rooms were on the first floor so the noise of people walking above was heard. The lobby had a fireplace and was cozy. The breakfast had a great selection but food was bland. The staff member working the breakfast was a hard worker and kept busy. The jacuzzi was not working. There was a WalMart across the street and many fast food and restaurants nearby.

One night stay for family of 4

The hotel is clean, beds and pillows are comfortable. The brick façade gives the impression of a cozy hotel, but unfortunately that was not the case. It is a typical inn layout with exterior hallways, not cozy at all. It felt similar to inns that cost 30% less.

Great getaway

Everything was good, except that there was a problem with the plug that connects the coffee and hair dryer. Overall it's a great place to stay.

Shopping tip: Not Applicable

If you are going to the Grand Canyon National Park and you are traveling in your own car or truck stop by Double Eagle Trading Co. it's a great gift shop and prices are great. Route 180 from Flagstaff to the Grand Canyon National Park.
