Convenient, Clean, and Friendly
Conveniently located near the airport and close to downtown. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. I'm not used to air conditioning and had trouble getting it adjusted to be comfortable, but you have to use air conditioning in Phoenix.

good airport hotel
Hotel is just off airport grounds so perfect to stay overnight before leaving in the AM. Airport noise was minimal (I was in the room from 8PM to 5AM). Close to PHX's centralized rental car return (did not use the shuttle because it departs 2 hr before your flight) and there are frequent shuttles from car rental to PHX terminals. Room was slightly worn but clean with great shower. Although neighborhood looks industrial/seedy, room was reasonable.

Very convenient
I was really pleased with the fact that I was only 1.5 miles from the airport, there was little/no noise from the planes. Very convenient and if I need to be close to the airport, I would stay again.

Near the Airport
The motel is only about a mile from the airport. The jet engine noise is a little loud, but is gone throughout the night. Free Internet use even with the wi-fi. Free shuttle service is a plus.

No elevator or early breafast (snak bars)
Desk clerk seem bother to have customers ask a question. My firts time there so did not know the drill to make life easy for the clerk. Did not know enough to request a room away from the interstate. People in the baar and restaurant run by another owner were friendly but bar tender tried to get by with a very weak amount of gin. Twice the price of comparabale accomodations in St. Louis, MO.

In Hotel
Ask for room upon arrival or when bookking to get one on the quite side opf the hotel. Closeness to the airport for first trip and adjacent eating facilities. For less noise look for other options.

Good location for budget minded
Convenient to airport, car rental facility, and expressways. Not many amenities in the immediate area but clean, comfortable property; and excellent value for my purposes (spent most of my time at relatives' homes, wedding reception, and other more upscale properties where my wealthier out of town relatives were staying!

why did my room smell like smoke?
The hotel is supposed to be 100% non smoking and my bed smelled of smoke. There was no elevator and we were on the 2nd floor with golf clubs in travel cases to take home. In addition there was no restroom in the lobby. So after you check out and enjoy complimentary coffee while you wait for the airport van you cannot use the restroom. Will never stay there again.

BEST Western Phoenix Arport Stay
When I asked for a wake-up call at the time of checkin, I was told that I had to dial a '0' from the room. When I went into the room, the phone had no dial tone --- I tried unplugging and replugging the jack. Room was clean.
