Grace Inn

This was my second trip to the Grace Inn. The staff is very friendly and cooperative. This was not tourist season, so amenities are limited at this time of year; the restaurant was not open, the bar was not open, but the atmosphere was peaceful. The bathroom in this room was small but adequate. The room had a coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave. There was an outlet for internet connection, but I didn't use it. I love this location - right off I-10, lots of shopping areas nearby, cute restaurants, pharmacy, and grocery store within a few blocks. I would definitely go back here. I have read negative reviews about this hotel, but I, personally, liked it; I do not require lots of extras - this suits me just fine.

We found that the help was very friendly. The front desk person gave us ideas of where to go for entertainment and sight seeing for being in the off season. We had no problems with checking in or out. The room was clean but needs to be updated. Other than that we found no problems with Grace Inn. We would recommend this to anyone that wants a reasonable place to stay and a good location. We enjoyed the pool. Mathews restaunt that is located in the hotel has $4 weekend breakfast specials. Grace Inn is also in a good neighborhood.

Problem with shower not water pressure, floor carpet not rally clean, pillows very hard and very small

Hotel staff were excellent, Hotel is older and could use some updating, LOcation is close to all amenaties.

Room was average, but bathroom needed work. Knob fell off shower control. Lumpy pillows, but beds were OK. Pool area, lobby, hallways, business center were all very nice. Was surprised that the computer in the business center was not free. Overall, we were comfortable but nothing was exceptional. The hotel's age was definitely showing.

I had no internet service and had to change rooms to get a cable connection. No WIFI so could not use IPAD. The room was not cleaned one day. AC did not regulate temps very well. it was too hot or too cold. Room was non smoking but it still had a smoke odor to it. Some minor touchup maintence could be done in rooms and hallways.

Everything was very nice. Just 2 things that were a bit off, the pillows were not comfortable and the breakfast that was to be provided was surprisingly not available, but you could go to their in house eatery and buy breakfast. Other than that we will definitely stay there the next time we go to Pheonix.

First, the good: The pool area was very nice, the location was good, right off I-10 near Tempe and lots of restaurant and shopping options; and the hotel offers complimentary passes to the Gold's Gym, which is about a five-minute walk away and is open 24-7. The rooms are spacious and have mini-fridges, which is pretty important to us. Maid service was good and thorough every day. Now, the bad. The hot tub was out of order for the duration of the trip, and the computer in the "business center" was non-functional for half of our weeklong stay. When it did work, they charged 50 cents per minute (!) Also noticed an ice machine out of order; there's a bar and restaurant on-site, but the restaurant was open for breakfast only with a limited (although cheap) menu, and I never saw the bar open. Bed mattress was hard and uncomfortable, and pillows of poor quality. Lots of banquets and business gatherings took place there throughout the week, and the impression was that a lot more time and energy was placed into those than the hotel guests by ownership. Overall, not a bad place, but lots is lacking here, too.

I was looking for a nice ,warm getaway to just escape for a weekend. A single female traveling from Kentucky ,I had my fears but the staff made me feel comfortable from first contact and throughout. Beautiful older inn with character is best way to describe. And the outdoor area was beautiful. Thank you Grace Inn.
