creekside view only
The beautiful creekside view makes this resort worth it. If you opt for a construction discount directly over the huge loud cement pit of what will be the pool area, you will not care how much it is for an upgrade!

We were VERY disappointed that the pool was closed for renovations for up to six weeks. We were never told about it and no adjustment was made in our fee. The price we were quoted for the hotel was $268.00 but the price we were charged was $327.56. I expected the AZ Occupancy Tax but the hotel also charged a resort fee of $20.00 + $2.75 tax per day. We also tried to attend the yoga class but the class was filled because the room was TOO small. Very disappointed. The hot tub consisted of a tub in the VERY small work out room. The workout room consisted of several pieces of well worn equipment.

extra fees
There was a $20/day fee charged at the hotel, once you arrived. It made the price of the room very similar to any other hotel I could have chosen.

Nice hotel...staff was rude.
This wasn't the first time we stayed at Amara. The trip trip started off nicely... front desk was very helpful and the valet was very nice, but the experience with one of the staff ruined our opinion of the hotel. We had planned on a long stay this summer, but we won't be back to this hotel!

Fabulous hotel
We thought for the value this was a great hotel. We loved being within walking distance to town but yet because it sits down below the road near a creek, you feel you are in the woods. Some people complained of the steep hill to get to the road. But we found a set of steps that curved up so it didnt seem as steep. I also read some reviews that the staff wasn't friendly. We thought the staff was more than friendly. They went out of their way to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. We were upgraded to a suite when we got there and they checked us in early. Our view was nothing special and the room was pretty basic. But very clean and the hotel and our room always had a spa like smell in it, which I think came from the vents. Special! We also enjoyed the spa, but the gym was nothing special, very basic. This is why I gave the ammenities a 4 rating. We would definately stay here again.

Unpleasant representative during the daytime at registration desk. Hotel charged resort fee of $20 without prior notice when reservation made. Perfect Spot in Sedona
A little tricky to find if you have never been to Sedona! Call ahead and get directions. Once there, you will find a great little gem in the heart of Sedona. Friendly staff, nice clean rooms, beautiful views from many rooms, and nice lobby and bar. A nice, clean, reasonably priced hotel. Will definitely visit again.
