your mountain retreat in the desert...welcome to the Hampton Inn Sierra Vista, AZ. When you stay at our hotel in Sierra Vista, the stunning desert scenery will awe you. Located in the mountains about 70 miles southeast of Tucson, Sierra Vista is the home of historic Fort Huachuca, and it's also the first city to have a McDonalds drive thru (trivia note - it first opened its window on January 24, 1975 as a means to be able to quickly feed the many soldiers traveling from Fort Huachuca). Today the city is the main shopping center for Cochise County and parts of northern Sonora. Located within the city is The Mall at Sierra Vista and several other prominent shopping centers.
