Gem Show stay
Great place to stay during the gem show -- the staff was helpful and friendly even during the busiest of times. Rooms can be a tiny bit noisy if you have neighbors coming in at 2 AM and stomping around.

As soon as I pulled up it looked liked the place was already closed and condemned. The lobby stunk. They gave me a ground-floor room around back where I found 2 other cars. The room was tiny and also stunk really bad. The chair in the corner had burn marks in it. The view was of the parking lot and dusty lots surrounding building. Message light wouldn't turn off. Still messages from the previous month. Went back to the front desk and checked out immediately. They said they had to charge me for that nights stay, even though I was there only 5 mins, and that I would have to call Orbitz for any other refund. I didn't care at the time, I just wanted out of there. The desk clerk didn't seem a bit surprised that I was checking out. He offered to upgrade me to a second floor unit, I couldn't imagine it would've been any better. A really bad 5-10 min experience. Went down the road to the Hilton. Paid way more, but got more too.

Awful...Do not stay here!!!!
We stayed there for just one night and good thing since I don't think we could have managed to stay any longer. This hotel was terrible! When we checked in around 4pm the room they gave us had not been finished being cleaned, when they moved us the next room wasn't done either but we were going to eat anyway so I asked if it would be in an hour or so when we got back. "Of course, I will get some one on that right away, that side of the building hasn't been finished." says the front desk. Why they put us there if they knew it wasn't done I have no idea. We got back and still nothing was done. Then we realized that our 2 queen size beds were actually full size beds with queen headboards, which are not comfortable at all. The bathroom door would not lock and popped open every time the front door opened from the air pressure. The heater instantly made the room smell of burnt toast. This was easily the worst place I've ever stayed and would advise anyone to avoid this place if possible!

One Night Stand
The hotel and everything else around are kept clean. However, the complex is old inside and out. The folks that clean the room do a very good job. The front desk wasn't as friendly. She was average. I believe it is a good one night stay to get some rest.

Annoyed Regular Corporate Traveler
Mediocre with argumentative staff.
Location was acceptable. Room was tiny. At least it was clean. Not super clean. Acceptable again. The air conditioner was blowing "cool" air not cold air with my hand on the vent. But, not enough to get the room truly cool even after running on the coldest setting with the fan on high for hours on end. The room stayed stuffy and very warm the whole time. It was hot outdoors so, the room provided little comfort. I dealt with it the first night. Second day I asked the clerk if I could change rooms. I got "let's have maintenance look at it first". The hotel was far from being booked up. The rooms on either side of me were empty all three days I was there. Maintenance said it was blowing "cold" air. I went with it instead of arguing. I should have been accommodated to a new room because it was certainly not acceptable. The desk clerk just wanted to make it easy on himself. He was more engrossed in the [...] television show he was watching than helping me. I will never stay there again!

Lost my $$$ at Days Inn, in Tucson
Do not stay HERE !!!!!
The reservation staff did not have requested accomodations, charged more $$ to give us our rooms.Rooms not equipted with needed items, more towels, iron, etc. Upon return home, I discovered cash $$$ missing from a cosmetic bag compartment. I reported the theft to front desk staff on Monday, 4-26-10, and was told that "No one on this staff would steal from a guest". The staffer said to report it to the Tucson police. I live in Ca., so I know it will go no where. Our entire trip ended on a really bad note. Will not stay at this hotel ever. [...] Losing $200 is insult to injury, since there is no recouping the loss from anyone.

Good for the price, not the location
We only had a one night stop over at this hotel, all things where fine apart from the construction work with the new road causing a little confusion trying to locate the hotel with roads being closed etc.

couldn't wait for check out
The Days Inn Tucson was located near the construction on I 15 and was inconvenient to get to. The bored clerk at check in couldn't wait to get back to her personal call and answered questions impatiently. The outside air was hovering at 100 deg.and since the door to our room faced into the setting sun the door handle seared our hands as we opened it. Even worse was the blast of superheated air within greeting us because the air conditioner was not turned on at all. We turned it on full (but had to use tweezers to actually turn the knob to coldest since some cheap skate had removed the knob). We couldn't stay in the room in the present condition, so left, hoping for a cool dip in the pool while the room cooled down. Imagine our disappointment when we were told that the pool was closed for maintenance which had been 2 weeks overdue. Left for dinner, and even 3 hours later the room had only cooled a few degrees. Terrible time trying to sleep, finally cool by early morning. Still no pool available in morning. Continental breakfast of cold cereal and light brown transparent coffee was enough to prevent starvation only. Couldn't wait to check out...oh forgot...the shower which could have been a substitute for the pool to cool off? No way, warm water there, not refreshing at all.
