OK for the money
Came in late at night after a long air travel. The carpet seems like it was not vacuumed for a while and the bathroom door would not shut. We were too tired to call the front desk. Next day we called and mention the problem with the bathroom door. Didn't mention anything about the carpet not being cleaned. Came back in the evening, the door was fixed and the carpet was cleaned. Overall the room was OK and was cleaned for the next couple of days to our satisfaction. Free hot breakfast with everything you need to start your day.

The room was comfortable and well equiped. The tv cable service left a lot to be disired but otherwise every thing was pretty good.

A little old but clean and comfortable.
A little old but clean and comfortable. Expected a restaurant for evening meal but it was no longer available. Complimentary breakfast was satisfactory.

Red lipstick on a faded motel
This hotel appeared to be a once renovated highway side motel. They attempted to make it upscale by adding flat screens, good mattresses and bedding, and granite counter tops in the rooms. However, the hotel overall appeared to be run-down and old (ie. peeling paint, rickety elevators, and cracked floorboards). I also found the front desk staff to be mildly incompetent. When I checked out, they had someone else's credit card on my hotel room and had already charged it. Yet, my room was prepaid through [...]. This hotel was is definately overrated and OVER PRICED - should be given 2 stars and a 2 star price. It was comfortable for the most part and safe, but not what I expected for the price I paid.

Usually Easy To Please
Has potential
Took 20 minutes to check in with only 2 people ahead of me & 3 clerks. All electric appliances in the room were unplugged including the air conditioner & refrigerator, supposedly to reduce their "Carbon Foot Print". Refrigerator actually had to be completely removed from position in counter to access the plug. (Consider, this is Tucson in the summertime) Requests for roll away bed, maintenance and the In room coffee maker promised in the literature needed to be made 3 times before anything was done. The parking lot was being resurfaced so there was no way to drive to the room. Although this was temporary & unavoidable, a bellman should have been offered, especially to guests such as myself who were in the farthest away buildings.Although I had no problem, the staff seemed to be unfamiliar with the key system. I overheard one guest saying he was given a key to an occupied room, totally startling the female guest. The punchline to his story was he was upgraded to a suite. Another guest was telling about going to the store for 10 minutes & having his key not work upon return. When he went to the desk he was told he had checked out, & the room was occupied. After telling them he indeed did not check out, they issued him another key and told him to go see if his belongings were in the room or if there was another guest there & let them know. Didn't hear the punchline to his story.

I always stay here while traveling to visit my daughter. It's affordable and close to the University of A.Z. We enjoy the full hot breakfast, and heated pool and jacuzzi.

A STREET CAR NAMED DISASTER
We had to try three separate rooms before we got one that was somewhat suitable. The first one had dirty linen on the bed, second one had no internet service, and believe it or not the bed in the third room was not clean either! So rather than move again, we ended up shifting the linen. All this moving was done by ourselves. Altogether,it was a nightmare experience. The place is in bad need of a lot of TLC all over and I would not recommend it to my worst enemy. Please tell anybody who is considering staying there to find another place.
