We were very pleased with the hotel which is located within walking distance to stores & restaurants. The best feature was their continental breakfast...what a variety...eggs, waffles, bagels, juices, hot/cold cereals & coffee.

Good value
Very clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Very convenient for us, our family lives close by in the Fortuna Foothills. Easy access to freeway; gas stations, restaurants, grocery and drug store close by. Short drive straight west to the airport.

Applebee's is right next door and gives a 10% discount if you are staying at Microtel.

Nice room, pathetic TV
The hotel seemed cleaned and decent, but I will not go back because of the TV. Yes, I said TV. For putting this much effort into a nice place, the designers must have been from some 3rd world country. They put a wardrobe (closet) in the corner of the room, and set a 15 inch TV on top of the wardrobe. We could not even read the text at the bottom of the screen. This may seem trivial to some,but for sports enthuseists it was pathetic.

Grad wife and party planner
Absolutely awesome crew!
We were in Yuma for my husband's university graduation. We rented an area of the hotel for a celebration. I was stressed planning a party long distance, but the staff was awesome even with all my phone calls like "Do you have a fridge to store the cake I am bringing?" "Can I decorate the room before I leave for the ceremony?" They were super helpful, calm, desk staff even made 2 fresh pots of decaf for us at 11pm so we could serve the cake. The A/C did go out in our room at 1am in steamy Yuma, AZ. The staff immediately upgraded us and got us another room and even volunteered to help move our stuff. They are the best!

Not happy
Very disappointed because the AC kept breaking and we had to change rooms twice. Once in the middle of the night uggg! The staff is very friendly. [...]They definately need to update the AC system and the rooms.

I had personal business in Foothills Area so this hotel was perfect.Always clean rooms. also very friendly staff. I will stay there again
