Ramada LA Convention Center

I have stayed in this Inn in the past and it was adequate for business travel. But the owner of this Ramada Inn has decided to lease out the on site restaurant/bar to a company that has LIVE Music on Friday/Saturday Nights.(not sure if it plays on other nights) This Inn has rooms surrounding courtyards and the Live music came out of the bar right into our room until 2am. The next morning everybody was at the front desk complaining. We were able to move our room but many people just took a $ loss and left so Saturday night was better not perfect. Beware where your room is. We requested a refund/discount from the Manager for Friday night & were told that since we made our reservations through a travel company online we would have to take it up with them. I will also be complaining to Corporate the owner of this Inn needs to decide if he is going to be a Night Club or a Place for Travelers to get a Good Nights Sleep.

Location is excellent, providing quick access to Downtown (Staples Center for example) and Hollywood / Beverly Hills. Positive: free parking, rooms with good space, location, price, cleanliness. Negatives: no breakfast, bathroom should be updated.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and had one of our worst hotel experiences ever! As we are both students, we needed to have access to Internet to do our assignments and communicate with our advisors and colleagues. That's why "free internet" was one of our reasons for selecting this hotel among other 3 star hotels. Their internet service reminded me of the old Dial-Up systems!!! I even could not check my emails as the internet speed was very low and it took for ever to open a single email, let alone using skype! The room had a strange smell and the sheets and towels were not clean; We asked them to change the sheets, the answer was: "here is a clean sheet. you should change it yourself as the housekeeper is not here". We could not sleep the first night because the sheets had a strong bleach smell.

Good enough for our get away. My stay was fine for the time I spent there...

I stayed in a good room having a special water masssage system. It was good but I heard lots of noisy of the water system every night, even in the early morning at one night and people are walking a lot in corridor and room is just beside the corridor and it was also very noisy from people's talking. Except that everything was good.

The location is excellent if you need to be near the downtown area and the Convention center. The rooms are dark, the rug is filthy, the bathrooms need new toilets seats and overall the furniture is falling apart. Needs to be refurbished. For the price , it could be a lot better.

I did feel save, there are some busses around, surprisingly easy to get to venice beach by bus, walk to the next subway as a single woman just recommended during daytime...kind of a strange area in my opinion, subway provides a good connection to the citycenter fridge and microwave in the room! you do not pay that much but the hotel is more than ok I did not try the pool though

We had a very pleasant stay at this Ramada Inn. It was very clean and we felt very safe. The motel was conveniently located near Staples Center and University of Southern California, and was not far from many other attractions in the LA area.

good experience over there, but the room smelt like cigarrets

This is an old property, the reception was attractuve and appealing and the staff very professional, however our room was not so good, only one door on the closet, the safe did not work, mold in the bathroom, would probably not stay there again.
