The Red Lion Oakland International Airport hotel in Oakland, California offers superb three diamond full service accommodations where personal service and comfort will give each guest a memorable experience. Our beautiful Oakland, California hotel is located halfway between San Francisco and San Jose, California in the heart of the East bay. We are minutes away from the University of California at Berkley, California State University East Bay, Stanford University, and San Jose State University, as well as numerous junior colleges and nearly forty well-established houses of worship nearby. Weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Quinceaneras and Corporate Events are what we specialize in, with over 6,000 sq ft of meeting space. Red Lion Oakland International Airport Hotel offers complimentary shuttle service to and from the Oakland International Airport from 4:00 am until 11:00pm. Our shuttle service also provides transportation to the Coliseum BART Station for a nominal fee of 5.00 per person each way. Overnght between flights

Mostly OK but construction of LRT outside way too noisy to sleep. The whole faucet assembly was loose in the bathroom, rm 523. No Ice in the 5th floor ice machine.

Not Bad

A good hotel for the price and in a great location. Within 5 mins of the Airport,Freeway,stores and the sports venues. A short exercising walk for me and the wife :-)

Perfect business location to Oakland Airport

Staff very friendly, plus free shuttle to BART station and airport. Rooms are not fancy but clean and comfortable. Would definately stay again.

Serves its purpose

Stayed in Oakland to visit friends and family. Overall, the hotel was a bit disappointing. The staff were helpful and friendly, but the room itself seemed old and worn. A few things stood out as recent investments: the TV, for instance, but the mirrored door on the closet was falling out of its grooves. The bathroom was new, but the carpet was kinda gross. Easy access to the airport was a plus, but it was pretty far from basic things like: a grocery store. The price was probably appropriate to the experience, but we've had better experiences for less money.

Sounds biscut and gravy online till.....

Hotel doesn't except cash and actually charges you for the fridge and microwave by day, worst staff I have ever seen in a hotel at that rate, too far from the upmost attractions a visitor would enjoy, another stay at red lion I don't think so!

Money-saving tip: Long walk from hotel

If you don't have a drivers license like me trip would really go down hill, can't go anywhere with out driving, public trans is so far from the hotel u will actually have to walk on the service side of the high way, look for BART it's a train system in the bay area, forget about Oakland go for San Fransisco it's where the fun is day and night, visit all the piers there pier 39 in specific ;)gd luk

Very ordinary

This was a quick overnight after a long flight from D.C. Hotel was acceptable, but nothing extra. No breakfast was a deal breaker.

No!!

After traveling on a delayed flight, we were tired. First the girl at the desk could not find our reservation. She finally did, then repeated the same information about the $50 hold on room incidentals. The room did not have a pleasant smell and we weren't really sure if the bedding was clean or not...gross. We would not stay here again and would gladly pay extra $ for a different hotel (which is what we did on our return).
