The hotel is in the perfect setting for my meeting at the Riverside Convention Center. The only problem is that the restaurant was undergoing a renovation and so the choices were limited and there is no deli/convenience shop. Lounge was marginally operational. Should be a much better facility when the renovations are complete.

Attended a seminar. The room was very nice, but we were never in it. Under renovations so lobby and walk areas weren't great, but staff was friendly and helpful. Shutting water off from 10am til 2pm on our check out day wasn't nice, as this was our only day to sleep in and relax, but I guess it couldn't be helped. Restaurants and stores walking distance and looked great even though we didn't have time to check them out.

everything was great for me. And it is located very close to the UCR, just near by the University Center. I would stay in this Hotel AGAIN!! But, the pool is soooooo small.... And the breakferst is not very good, few food.

Lied about price & Internet very slow

This was a terrible stay. Checked in AFTER paying with Orbitz. Showed them the reservation #, price of $45 and he nodded, thinking all was well, I signed the bill. THEN to my AMAZEMENT he charged me for EXTRA PERSON, and with taxes the bill was $58. I showed him again the reservation and he argued that was for one person not 2. WRONG! It says 2 in email confirmation. Internet cut out 3 different times and it took a long time for them to reset. Room was smoky as he would not give me a ground floor at first for my 93 y.o. Veteran Father who CANNOT CLIMB STAIRS. No wake up call, TERRIBLE TIME. Going to dispute this with my CC Company.

As a couple we have traveled all over the world and stayed in plenty of 4,5, and even a couple 6 star resorts. From SanDiego to LA our favorite spot is the Mission Inn.
Like the Del in San Diego there is only three stars but we will take the Mission for a weekend getaway anytime we can. No other hotel have we spent hours just looking at its architecture and cool areas.

My first experience on my own

This was my first time getting a hotel on my own without any body with me or paying I came to visit my family in riverside.I loved the hotel they were very nice people no complaints the room I was very nice not what I was expected to be.they had a very nice size flat screen tv and unlike some other hotels that cost an arm and a leg lol. Santa Cruz inn is very affordable u get more than what u pay.I was very happy with my stay.

We came to Riverside, for a long week end, to see my daughter graduate. It was wonderful, as i saw her every day, though most of time was hanging around at the hotel. WiFi, TV, etc., with a short walk you could be away from busy streets to single family residence's which were gorgious. The time in the hotel/motel was very relaxing in the beautifully maitained historic grounds.

Typical Hampton Inn. Tastefully decorated rooms of good size. Good brekfast. We arrived late and unfortunately near the hotel we could only eat wings and bear at that hour.

The hotel is fairly new and check-in was easy. After about twenty minutes upon arrival, we received a call from the front desk to ask how our room was and if everything was fine in the room. Each room has free wifi which is great! The only negative aspect of the hotel is that they do not have a bar.

Renovated motel

I wanted a cheap stay in Riverside for a conference I was attending. This motel met all the criterias and more. I was expecting the worst but was pleasantly surprised at the renovated room I stayed in. The carpeting, the furniture and the bathroom was all new. Even had granite top in the sink area. It is a very compact room by the way, perfect for just catching that sleep and rest. And the nice thing is, there was no odd smell in the non-smoking room. The bed was firmer than normal but was fine. The sheets were the cheap kind but not too bad of a condition. The towels were fluffy and thick but I could see they did not use bleach. Some were slightly more off white than others.

Wow the hotel was very clean the front desk staff was very nice and helpful. Walked in at it smelled like fresh pine (Christmas candle), great place for the price! If I even need to stay in Riverside again it will be at America's Best Value Inn.

On arrival I was a little concerned, there was remodeling going on. On the outside it looked average, nothing special. The parking lot was small, but the best was yet to come.
Once I got into my room, all my fears disappeared. The room was freshly renovated, very appealing to the eye. The best part of my stay was the comfort of the bed. It was perfect. Had nice sheets and the comforter was so soft and warm. I looked forward to sleeping.
The hotel staff was nice. I did not want daily service, so I put a do not disturb request.
I stayed 3 nights and I will be sure to stay at this hotel again in the future.

If noise, safety and cleanliness are not a major concern I would recommend this hotel. Walls are paper thin so you can hear the lady next door crying all night on the phone. People jumping on the bed upstairs for 4 hrs a night is an added bonus. Try not to make eye contact with the dopers walking around outside.

Next Time We'll Stay Somewhere Else

Luckily our stay only lasted 2 nights. The plumbing in this Hotel was horrible ! The water pressure in the shower was so bad that it was all you could do to rinse off. The toilet seat would slide around and actually came off one time in the middle of the night. I had to take it apart and re-attach it but it soon came loose again. All night long we could hear people above us walking back and forth, I don't know what they were doing but it lasted all night and on both nights that we stayed there. The bed was pretty hard but more comfortable then I thought it would be. Do yourself a favor and find another Hotel to stay in if you are in this area.

There was no microwave, coffee pot, iron, or ironing board. They only had one iron that everyone in the motel had to use which had to be check out with CA ID. There was not ironing board to be used at all.

Excellent location off of the 91. Beautiful renovation and nice rooms. Not alot of traffic so no Continental breakfast. Very quiet and peaceful.
