Hotels in Rancho Bernardo, San Diego

We are moving to the San Diego area and needed a good location to stay while searching for housing. The Comfort Suites certainly came thru for us. Staff were very friendly and even though we were close to the 15, noise was at a minimum.

The Mira Mesa Holiday Inn Express/Mira Mesa couldn't be in a better location if you've business of pleasure in the Mira Mesa area. The staff was polite and helpful and the room was comfortable and clean. An abundance of dining is very close by.

We stay here while we visit our son and family who live close by. We have never had any trouble except this time we never got our confirmation of a king size bed[...]

I needed a place to stay for a night after attending a friend's wedding. The place was nice. There was a balcony that looked out to the parking lot and the breeze at night was perfect. The staff was great as well. They handled my check in swiftly and checking out was just as easy.

Great hotel for us to land at while work was being done on our home. [...] found us a room located on the 1st floor with quick access to an area where we could walk the dog. Room was adequately clean but not a bit more than that - the lack of intense cleaning bothered my allergies but it was a minor annoyance.

Me: Platinum Marriott Member, Stay over 100 nights a year in Marriott Properties Expectations: Quiet Room, Clean Room, Top Floor (so that there is no noise from the people above us) The Facts: First floor room with a soccer team above us (it was the regional championship games) Called ahead prior to making the reservation to ensure that the rooms are actually suites and that a door can be closed once the baby was put down so that we could sit in the other room and watch tv without waking the child. Was told that was the case. In reality, the doors that closed were sliding glass/wood doors that would not block any sound making it impossible to put the child down and watch tv in the other room without waking him. Very disappointing, would have sprung for a two bedroom suite if they actually had a closing door. Doors were slamming all night and people were running around the outside of the room screaming all night (yes all night -- at 2 am we actually opened the door and told people to be quiet) The crib was supposed to be set up upon arrival (even called to ensure that it would be earlier) and that was not done. They actually came once we arrived to set it up. We arrived late and really needed to get our nine month down asap since we pushed his bed time as is. Called the front desk to complain about the noise and was told that they have "groups" there and that they are sorry about the noise.... Said something would be done about it, but the noise persisted. Door did not close right, there was a cold draft under it all night. (did not mention this to the front desk, there was no point and it was just the icing on the cake) Upon check out I was offered some extra points to make up for the trouble, did not accept the extra points, not needed already have more points than I need. This was probably the worst Marriott hotel that I have ever stayed at. Would not go back.

Nice hotel for the money. Free breakfast was great with lots of variety. Ask for a room facing away from the pool. Try not to get a room near the restaurant as it is VERY noisy. From inside our room we could hear every clink of a fork against a plate and could hear even normal level conversations. Late at night it was quiet. Other than this minor annoyance, it is a perfectly fine hotel and great for the money.

Everything was clean! There is a great breakfast buffet every morning, a laundry room, and many other services. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

We arrived to find a huge So Cal power outage but the staff was very friendly and super helpful. We thought we had a horrible disasterous weekend ahead but everything was WONDERFUL!

The location of this hotel was very convenient for us. It was right off the 15 freeway. There was a Vons and lots of restaurants around. The hotel staff was friendly and the room was clean! Would definitely stay at this location again!

Rancho Bernardo Inn is a great place to relax for a day or two. Large rooms with great views. Very good spa. Good restaurants. Close enough to San Diego to keep you busy

It was an amazing weekend. Absolutely beautiful location, facilities. Incredible place to get married! The only thing, when the booking the hotel online, they did not include Resort Fees. It all adds up! Apart from that had the best time. Golf Course is spectacular!

It was a great stay. I had booked for 5 nights. I asked to move after the 1st night, because my room was on the 1st floor facing the parking lot. They were extreemly courteous and helpful and moved me to a great 2nd floor room in the main area. I had accidently left a bathrobe and a pillow in the 1st room. They were able to locate them for me and the night clerk brought them up to my room. It is an older hotel, however very economical and clean and I will definately be staying again. Very comfortable bed as well.

The hotel was great, but my neighbors werent so quite. But they were quite after 12. The beds were comfy, the bathroom had little red ants crawling on the floor. The lady that worked nights was sweet.

The room was very comfortable, with a thermastat controlled wall a/c unit that worked very well. The included breakfast was great. It included your buffet choice of omelet style eggs, sausages, fruit, muffins, waffles, milk, juice, HB eggs, yummy coffee, toast... it was over-the-top for a "free" breakfast. We were in San Diego for the beach. Using the highway 56, we were at Torrey Pines beach or Del Mar beach within 15-20 minutes. I highly recommend this hotel, as we will be staying there the next time we are in San Diego.
