Had a wonderful time. Staff was nice but not much of a personality. Room was perfect size. The king Bed was so comfortable!! Location was amazing! Glad we brought our bikes because parking was a extra 20 bucks which is a bit ridiculous. The workout room was a joke, but the pool was cool considering the size.

Great Place
Great hotel, but what is advertised is not necessarily what you get. Benefit to this hotel is the shuttle to and from the airport, to the zoo, and SeaWorld. However, it is only available at certain times, which may not correspond to your flight time. Staff gave us wonderful recommendations for places that were good to eat at locally. Overall good place to stay!

Go to Sushi Deli and get there at 5pm when they open because it is delicious, cheap, and there is always a line!

Great location to see San Diego
Good value for the money. We walked out to eat each night. Enjoyed the Gas Lamp district. The only thing HI could do better is upgrade to queen size beds. Rooms too small for larger beds. Wouldn't mind a refrig in room to. Overall good hotel experience.

Leaves a little to be desired!!
We were supposed to have a room with 2 queen beds and we were given 2 fulls. The one amenity that they boasted about was the "high speed internet," we were unable to connect, I called and was on the phone for 1 hour trying to get it fixed with no result. There was no breakfast, and the T.V. had only a few channels, with no pay per view.

Nice
For a one night stay en route to a conference downtown...a little too far from the conference centre if you are unwilling to walk 1.5mi.

Terrible traffic noise
Couldn't sleep for the traffic and airplanes noise. Problems with change the TV channels...it returns to their hotel information channel automatically in about 3-5 minutes later. A staff came to my room for my complaint about this but he was not able to fix it. Terrible. No place to eat around the hotel... Room is too small. Guest should pay the parking fee...about $14/day...?

First time stay in San Diego
My first time in San Diego, and I chose to stay at the Holiday Inn, there in Down Town San Diego. The Hotel visually was up beat and impressive. It stood out with it;s circular design. At night was even more amazing , with it;s bright neon light and Palm trees surrounding it. The staff there was great, and my room was absolutely trendy and relaxing. it was definitely high class in my opinion. The bed was a king and the sheets where soft and white. The linens smelled so clean and fresh, which in my opinion is very important !!! A clean bed and bedding is key to a comfortable healthy feeling for bed time. The Holiday Inn, there in Down Town San Diego was a good choice, and well worth the affordable room rate. I'll stay there again if ever traveling to SD again.

Affordable and clean
Great place to stay and not very expensive; we highly recommend it. The only problem we encountered was the check in. When we arrived we were told that Orbtz made the reservation but didnt forwarded the money to the hotel, so we had to wait quite a while for the hotel got in touch with Orbtz to square that matter. Other than that, the experience was great.
