Overrated Hotel
I was disappointed with the place. In the internet it was under a 4 star, but it is really a 2 star. Carpet in our room had a tear, and the room smell like urine. Really unsatisfactory. I will not recommend this to anybody. One of the day time clerk had a bad attitude too, when I asked if we can do express check out.

Concert PreParty Room
In the middle of hillcrest. Near good food, close cab ride to downtown. Rooms are spacious, kitchen is good for long or short stay, full fridge.

Overall, good value and great location
I loved that the checkout time is noon and that it is centrally located to Hillcrest. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious.

enjoyable vacation
beds were very comfotable, rooms clean, service great. a liitle noisy with the ambulance sirens, but i sleep with ear plugs at night so night not a problem. kids had a great time in pool. free breakfast great perk. short drive to sea world, shopping and zoo

Location is great for Hillcrest neighborhood
The location is great! Walking distance to all entertainments in Hillcrest. Ther room is spasious, but a bit rundown. The breakfast is ...poor. Just walk across the street and get a real breakfast in the numerous cafes. You'd better off. Unobtrusive service overall, but I kinda liked it. Room service is an outside company that finish service at 11p.m Free WIFI is a plus. Taxi from/to airport $20. Overall the hotel is okay, but a little overpriced.

Good Central Location
The Summerset Suites was a good fit for our family of 5. We liked the living room suite, bedroom suite, kitchen and bathroom. The breakfast staff was very accommodating and did a great job meeting our needs. Parking was extremely tight and we paid $5 a night for the priviledge of wedging our full size car in and out of very tight parking spaces. Also no way to central air in the room meant we could not control temperature or air flow. Overall a good value.

Have someone in the hospital?
My husband had surgery at Scripps Hospital and was there for more than a week do to complications. It was close enough to walk to so I didn't have to pay the horendous parking fees. There are a lot of nice places to eat close by. I felt totally safe by myself. The room was large and very nicely furnished. I paid the same price as I did for a 4 star and was much more comfortable and relaxed.

Not too bad.
Overall, it was a good hotel. The only bad thing was that it was noisy. You could hear people walking and talking in the hallways and the people walking around in the room upstairs.
