Buena Vista Motor Inn

The front desk was extremely helpful. Free parking was included. However, the hotel itself is very outdated in terms of amenities and the rooms themselves. One of the light bulbs in the rooms was out and the furniture seemed dated. Overall, if you need a budget stay, this hotel will do.

Positive: excellent location (long walk to Fisherman's Wharf), free parking, reasonable price (compared to other similar hotels in SF), staff is very helpful. Negative: breakfast isn't so bad, but it's served in the reception, so there's no place to seat and have your breakfast there. You have to take it to your room. No water / beverages vending in the hotel, no mini-bar in the room.

The location was o.k. and they do have their own parking lot. The lobby was small but accomodating. The room however was in bad need of painting, as were the hallways. A good vacuming would make a big difference too. No view of anything but the backside of the building next door. For what we paid I was very disappointed. Nothing special, old styling, very hard beds, towels like sandpaper, recent construction in our bathroom that exposed unpainted drywall, and the a/c barely worked.

Room was was dirty and none of the furnishings matched. The breakfast was very imited and there was no where to eat it, you had to take it back to your room!

Staff was courtious and friendly, it was very clean. I felt safe in this section of town. The only drawback is that they don't have adequate parking. We have a luxury car and the parking spots are so small that we had trouble getting in and out of them.

I just needed a place to stay for the night. Parking is very difficult. In fact, you have to double park in their garages and leave your keys at the front desk so they can move your car if necessary. The room itself was fine--nothing fancy, but not bad either.

If you are looking for a a good priced, CLEAN hotel room with good location, PARKING, and kind personnel, I recommend you the Buena Vista Motor Inn. After a very long and exhausting flight we arrived at San Francisco and rented a car. The two non-smoking rooms we had reserved were clean and comfortable. The bed was pure heaven! I could also keep in touch through the internet service available . Breakfast was good and included fruit. Pretty close to some attractions too. We stayed there two nights as we were going on to Los Angeles and a Cruise to Hawaii. This was definitely a memorable vacation!!!

We planned a brief overnight stay in the city and found ourselves immersed in Fleet Week. Our room was a fortunate accident, we were lucky enough to land a room in the front of the hotel where we could see the air show directly from our room. The rooms were clean and the staff was helpful. I would stay here again. If you are looking for a decent affordable place to rest your head, this place worked for us! Not a bad location we walked to fisherman's wharf, Ghiradelli Square and took a short cab ride to Mission.
