High-rise elegance only a block from Union Square
Located a block from bustling Union Square, the 36-story Grand Hyatt San Francisco towers over many of the other hotels in the area. Elegance is the theme here, with an opulent lobby and floor-to-ceiling windows in guestrooms upstairs. Some guest rooms even are allergy-free. Attractive room, great location
Enjoyed the decor, the city view on the 26th floor and the central location. My extremely minor negatives: no vending machine to get a drink late at night. $10/night for internet seems a little high. Very comfortable room with a pillow I would have been happy to take home.

I's all there. Suggest looking up addresses before you go so you don't miss any stores. Plan to do alot of walking.

Great hotel, great price.
Perfect location, right in Union Square where they have great shopping and restaurants. It is an easy walk to China town and North beach if you take your time. A short cab ride to other city attractions such as the Warf. The staff was friendly, and the room was fairly clean.

Long walk from hotel
If you take a stroll through China Town for shopping you end up in North Beach which is known for great restaurants. Our favorite is a place right at the edge of NB called "The Stinkin Rose." It is a garlic restaurant. Be brave and try the garlic ice cream, you will not be sorry.

Very dissatisfied
The room was very small. Housekeeping did not provide enough towels and amenities (ie shampoos,toilet paper etc.) Never cleaned the room while we were there. They didn't replace towels etc. Never vacumed the room. VERY Disappointed.

Great San Francisco Weekend
We arrived earlier in the day than we expected. I called the hotel to ask if we could store our luggage until the 3pm check-in time. Instead, they said we could just check in early! That really made for a great day in San Francisco knowing that we already had established our base. The Hotel staff was helpful and professional. We resisted the $4.00 Snickers Bar in the mini-bar - but I wonder if we missed an opportunity to taste something special? Best location and great price.

great location, not really good food
Rooms based on the price the guest paid are not a good deal. Maybe some hotels with this great locatgion has rooms more roomy for the same price.

Easy Access
The hotel made it very easy to get to anywhere in SF. A walk to Chinatown, a cable car to the warfh, a walk or quick cab to noerth beach and little Italy and easy access to the highway for Napa and Sonoma Counties.A little disappointed in the rate for computer access.

Great location, Good price
The hotel is in the heart of San Francisco. The staff is very polite. The room is very, very clean. I notice a few families with children and they seemed to be having a great time. The only bad thing is the price they charge for a breakfast buffet. $25.00 per person is little excessive for breakfast. Otherwise my stay was great.

Excellent location
The Grand Hyatt @ Union Square is the perfect location. It's close to the shopping district and convenient to the cable cars to nob hill and fisherman's wharf. The staff at the hotel are also very sincere and hospitable. I would definetely recommend this property to my friends.
