Excellent location near all the sites
Holiday Inn-Fisherman's Wharf was excellent, Feasted on crabs & lobsters, rode the Trolly car, toured the sites on the grey line bus, walked to china town, visited the sea aquarium, the Academy of science,Golden Gate Bridge, Boat tour the bay on the Red and White Fleet,visited the Dolores mission, Muir woods,and many other sites. We used the Go San Fransisco city pass and saved $$$. Ground transportation by San Fransisco City Shuttle, Excelled our expectations.

A place to crash for the night
The hotel is good for a place to stay. The location to the wharf and transportation is good. The hotel is near all the tourist attractions therefore, you do not need the rent a vehicle for everything is in walking distance including public transportation. However, the hotel is in need of being refurbished for the rooms are worn. The staff was pleasant and the concierge service was great. If you are using this hotel for a place to crash every night, it is perfect. If you are looking for a great fancy hotel room this is not the place to stay.

Don't stay here on the weekends
We get there and the room that they gave us was across the street. We had to park in their garage and pay 93 dollars or so, for the weekend. We had to take all of our luggage across the street with only the help of a map guiding us, on what seemed like a one mile hike. We expected a lot better treatment for the price we paid. I DO NOT recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great getaway weekend.

OK hotel
Great location and clean room. Everything overpriced. $40 + $5 tax for daily parking, breakfasts about $20 each, etc.. People were friendly and helpful.

Take the taxi instead of walking. It's fairly cheap, a lot safer and will safe a ton of filth from your shoes.

At the hotel we did about everything anyone could do.everything was in walking distance resturants sightseeing cablecars and more.

dress a little more as the night's do get a little cooler and also wear good walking shoes wouldn't hert to bring a wind breaker.

Can't beat the price or location
Super clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed and furniture. Free wi-fi was a plus. Just a half block from Fisherman's Wharf, bus tours, and all sorts of transport to China Town, Golden Gate Bridge, etc. Of course, many fantastic restaurants close to the hotel. Our favorites were the seafood eateries and the Irish pubs.

Awesome location!!
this hotel is walking distance of the Wharf and enough attractions to keep us busy our weeklong stay! we found ourselves not needing to use the rental car. free wifi and the room was super clean and seemed like new. downside: parking was over $40 a day for our car.
