One Night Stay
I would probably select another place to stay next time I am in San Francisco. I thought that $41.00 per night parking charge was obscene. I was also disappointed that I was unable to view Fox News, of course being the seat of liberalism, it really shouldn't surprise me.

Great location but pricey
I took my wife to San Francisco for her birthday and this was my first time on the west coast. The hotel is in a great location but hotel parking and food is very expensive for average taste. The room was fine but the comforter was small and heavy. The service was great and helpful in finding locations. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves and will use this hotel again.

SFO - ORBITZ
I have never stayed in that small of a room in my entire life. Wow. I thought the Golden Nugget was bad. Thanks Holiday Inn.

Not the best experience
I went to San Fran for a personal event. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Golden Gateway and was far from impressed. -First of all, NEVER stay there if you are pregnant. There was a sign in the parking garage that stated "This facility contains chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm". I mean really!? -Also, the parking was ridiculous. It was over $30/night. -You spend most of your time waiting for elevators because there are so many floors and only 3 of the elevators were working. -I went to breakfast one morning and they charged me about $15 for one pancake and a cup of coffee. It was not clearly marked as to what costs what and NOTHING was complimentary. Overall, I was very unimpressed and actually quite mad.

Don't eat in the hotel (especially not breakfast). There are tons of places within walking distance so go there...otherwise you will be ripped off.

NOT WHAT I PAID FOR
THE HOTEL WAS FINE THE ROOM THAT WE STAYED IN WAS CLEAN AND QUIET HAS GOOD ACCESS TO BOTH CABLE CAR SYSTEM AND CITY BUS. MY MAIN PROBLEM WAS THAT WHEN I BOOKED THIS HOTEL THROUGH ORBITZ I PAID QUITE A BIT MORE FOR AN UPGRADED ROOM WHEN I CHECKED IN I WAS TOLD THEY DID NOT HAVE ANY OF THE UPGRADED ROOMS AVAILABLE AND PUT ME IN A STANDARD ROOM THEY STATED THAT THEY WERE AWARE THAT I HAD RESERVED AND PAID FOR A SUPERIOR SUITE WITH A VIEW BUT THAT THAT WAS ONLY IF THET HAD ONE AVAILABLE WHICH THEY DIDN'T I THEN ASKED TO BE REIMBURSED FOR THE AMOUNT THAT I HAD PAID FOR THE UPGRADE AND THE HOTEL STATED I WOULD NEED TO CONTACT ORBITZ. I CONTACTED ORBITZ AND THEY WOULD DO NOTHING FOR ME. I WON'T BOOK A HOTEL WITH ORBITZ AGAIN AND STRONGLY CAUTION YOU NOT TO EITHER.
