Beyond noisy

Most of the reviews we had read (after booking) were atrocious and the room really was not bad at all. Bathroom was new and fresh, everything was clean, linens and blankets a bit shabby but not unclean. Parking is included, but very tight especially if you have an SUV; we got the last spot and we got in at 10pm. STaff were very pleasant, although Wifi never did work despite my repeated requests and their assurances it "should be working." HUGE problem was the noise. A group of rambunctious folks insisted on hanging out right outside our room laughing and screaming until about 2 am. Hotel staff kept coming up (after I called) to try to quiet them but it took hours. Also a ton of street noise.

Great, easy to get to location, especially if driving.

Easy access from the 101, right on Lombard street. Close to Fisherman's Wharf and hot neighborhoods. Staff was helpful. The beds are comfortable, and the only grip we had was that the room was smoking when we requested non-smoking.

Good place to eat, sleep and get on the go

My boyfriend and I were in need of a good vacation. San Francisco was our destination. We wanted to look for a good and in our budget type of place. Ramada Limited San Francisco was perfect. We wanted a place that included parking because we planned to park and leave the truck there while we stayed. (it is first come first serve though) We used public transportation which was great because the main buses that take you everywhere were right around the corner. The staff was very helpful when we needed directions or any additional questions about the room. Plus they let us check in early. Breakfast was sufficient and for the price of the room we had nothing to complain about. EXCEPT for one night when we heard the complete argument between a mother and daughter. - but then again it was Saint Patrick Day weekend. Drunk people everywhere! But anything you need is close by. There is plenty of bars around and the neighborhood is nice. There is a Safeway down the street to buy booze or food. Overall I would stay there again and I would recommend it for a short weekend trip to anyone. ENJOY YOUR TRIP!

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Buy the Multi-Muni pass for $21.00 (They have 3,5,10 day passes, we got the 3 day pass) Leave your car parked in the hotels parking structure and walk down to Walgreen and you can buy your ticket there. The front desk of the hotel has a great map for free of the transportation bus schedules. and the passes work for the trolleys and subways too!

Will probably stay somewhere else on next visit

The location was great! The major problem of this hotel room was the noise level. You are able to hear people outside walking around, talking in the next room, and conversations in the hallways. Staff were friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast could have been better (waffles, toast, and cereal daily). Loved San Fran but will probably stay somewhere different on my next visit.

a short break~~

The room was ok, but becuase of the broken lock that we had to run here (the room) and there (the cashier) to get new keys. That was tiring..... The breakfast was good.

Staff was friendly, very nice to have coffe pot, hair dryer and iron in room. Room could have been cleaner, shower curtain mildewed, ill fitting sheets, torn blanket.

I wouldn't

The room was okay but the noise outside at night was horrible. I'm guessing real bad insulation cuz we heard everything and the neighbors were sooo rude. Yelling at each other, slamming doors, and the maid service slamming laundry carts around at 0600 hours. Parking convenient, but noise, bad.

not so bad

Good location and price but cab in from the airport and rent a car from rental place right down the street. This hotel has about 14 parking places. You can walk or trolley everywhere from here.

excellent location,no street noise

this is an excellent value. a major plus is the way the property is designed blocks the street noise from the rooms. The walls between the rooms are a bit thin however, so if someone is noisy in the adjoining room you may here them banging around.

Depressing

We arrived after a long day of traveling from NYC on a rainy night. When I asked where the elevator was the desk clerk laughed. There are none! So we hauled our 4 suit cases up 2 flights and entered our dingy, sparse room from the 70's. The window opened onto a wall of plywood and cardboard. The second day we returned from a long day of touring to find that the room had not been visited by the maid. No bed made, no toilet paper, soap, coffee packets, etc. Nothing is more depressing then a crummy room that hasn't been cleaned. The free breakfast was a plus. The TV was a flat screened one with cable, also a plus.
