Whimsical luxury at centrally located Fisherman's Wharf hotel
Bright colors and bold patterns characterized a 2009 renovation at the Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf hotel. The result is a light-hearted, whimsical interior certain to make guests smile. A new lobby lounge provides the perfect spot for an afternoon snack (or drink); while the open-air "living room" is a great spot for guests to gather around fire pits on chilly nights. The property is within walking distance to attractions in the area, including Pier 39, Ghirardelli Square and ferries to Alcatraz Island.
Highlights
- Located near Fisherman's Wharf
- Complimentary Wi-Fi and high-speed Internet access
- Huddle with friends around outdoor fire pits on cold nights
Rooms
Color is a central theme in the hotel's 531 rooms. Accent pillows are pink and blue; carpets have tones to match. All accommodations come standard with Sheraton "Sweet Sleeper" beds, flat-screen televisions and coffee-makers. All rooms include complimentary Wi-Fi Internet access; high-speed Internet is available as well (fees apply). Pets welcome (fees apply).
Features
After completing a $33-million renovation in 2009, the Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf redoubled its conservation efforts. The hotel now implements water-saving shower heads, compact fluorescent lights and thermostat control systems that power down HVAC units when rooms are unoccupied.
Hotel guests receive complimentary access to the on-site fitness center and 24-hour business center as well as the outdoor heated pool. Same-day laundry and dry-cleaning services also are available (fees apply).
In the lobby, guests have two dining options. The Sol Breakfast Cafe serves breakfast daily from 6:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. The Spressi Martini & Sushi Bar serves lunch and dinner dishes daily until 11 p.m.. Guests are encouraged to enjoy food in the lobby or outside, by fire pits on the outdoor patio dubbed the "living room."
Valet and self-parking are available (fees apply).

Great location
The room was great, decorated very nice and very clean. This location is great with Fisherman's Wharf just a block away! We did not like that our room had a view of the roof, and the parking fees are high. They tried to charge us for two full 24 hour days even though we were not there that long. After complaining, however, They did just charge us for one.

Great location!
My husband and I went to San Francisco on our honeymoon. The hotel was in a great area that was safe and lively. In addition, we were in walking distance to almost all possible public transportation. This made many parts of the city very accessible. The concierge staff at the Sheraton was also helpful with directions and suggestions. My only complaint is that I thought the hotel has free wireless internet, but that was only in the lobby, not in the rooms.

If you are there for more than a couple of days buy the City Pass. For $59 you have unlimited rides on all MUNI, light rail, and cable cars. Also, you have free admission into some museums and sight seeing attractions. This was worth every penny.

Awesome location for Wharf and Pier 39
The room was nice, clean and functioned well for all that we got it for. Great and prompt room service for breakfast in the morning. Parking was the only cost that wasn't noted. It was an additional cost separate from the room. Just FYI. Allowed easy access to the Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. Nice not to have to take a taxi any where.

Short walk from hotel
Always stay w/in walking distance because you don't have to hail a taxi cab and spend extra money and you don't have to find parking in the city know for bad parking. It will be the reason to pa extra, to not have to drive once you get to your hotel room.

Great hotel...noisy/inconsiderate guests
Want to comment on the airline travel. I have been a long customer of Orbitz and am really tired of having my seat switched by the airlines to something very very less desirable. Last time I was right next to the bathroom. This time I was forced to sit next to a woman with a small child that screamed 75% of the trip. Why cant we have any "kidfree" flights?" Its tough on adults with high blood pressure.

Shopping tip:
Short walk from hotel
Shop around before making a final purchase. Many tourist traps in S.F. carry the very same merchandise. With many all sales are final...so make sure you find the lowest price before you pull out your cash. Stay on the top floor so kids can not jump on the floor to disturb your sleep. Return your rental car. You are super close to everything. Parking is ridiculously expensive. Staff are super helpful and courteous. Beds are very comfortable. Wide screen TVs

We Liked It!!
I read some Yelp reviews after I booked this hotel so I had some reservations (heh) about staying here. However, aside from the noisy bus depot accross the street from our room (many Yelpers complained about this), our overall stay was absolutely delightful. Staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and my 11-year old LOVED the colors and decor.

For the location, you absolutely cannot BEAT the price. It was a short walk to Pier 39 and many of the other sites and attractions (cable cars, etc.).

San Francisco
Great location, spotless room. Only wish they had free internet in the room, it's only free in the lobby area. I also wish they had a hot tub, it would have been nice after a hard day of touring. But overall, I loved this hotel and would stay there again.

Loved the hotel!
We loved how close we were to the water. Our room had a balcony that we enjoyed hanging out on in the evenings. We walked to Little Italy every night for great restaurants. The hotel was clean and convenient and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

BEST LOCATION EVER
THIS WAS MY VERY FIRST TRIP TO SAN FRANCISCO AND MY BOY FRIEND SUGGESTED THAT WE STAY ON THE WHARF. WE PICKED THE SHERATON AND I AM SO GLAD WE DID. BESIDES ALL OF THE OTHER FABULOUS ATTRACTIONS THAT SAN FRANCISCO HAD TO OFFER, STAYING AT THE SHERATON MADE EVERYTHING THAT MORE ENJOYABLE. SURPRISING TO ME WAS MY WANTING TO GO OVER TO PIER 39 AND WATCH THE SEA LIONS. COMING BACK TO A COMFORTABLE AND CLEAN ROOM REALLY MADE OUR TRIP THAT MORE ENJOYABLE. THE STAFF AT THE SHERATON WAS GREAT AND THE CITY WAS BEAUTIFUL. WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR. THANK YOU SHERATON AND STAFF. WE SHALL RETURN. KATHLEEN SHOREY, HAWTHORNE, NEVADA
