The Ramada Inn was clean and comfortable. It is a little older motel with beautiful grounds. The pool which was quite large was heated and very nice. Breakfast was good. I would stay there again.

Westmont & kids
We visit Santa Barbara on a regular basis, (two kids in Westmont) so we are constantly trying new places to stay each time we come up. This was our first time at Ramada Limited. Nice place, not the newest in town, but what is in Santa Barbara? The place was very clean, well maintained & good security. Great garden area with pond, ducks, turtles and koi. Be sure to ask for a Garden Room or a Garden view room. The pool and spa was sparking and very nice. Nice continental breakfast (good coffee). The staff was friendly and very polite. The rooms are good size. One drawback, the Wi-Fi was flaky and as teckie, that was a pain. Ramada is on the list of good places and we will most likely return.

There's a reason "Limited" is in the name
Basic room- $165 for the night and we had to stay in Santa Barbara area for a wedding: Good: *Right off of freeway *rooms have balcony or patio and sliding door *fridge and microwave *free breakfast (continental) * cable and newer tv Bad: * no elevators * dirty room-hair on the pillow * q-tip under air conditioner and visible from bed * nothing around it but an Ihop and gas station * Bed very springy and you can feel them * no fan but a heat lamp in bathroom All in all, decent hotel. That is all it is, a hotel. You pay to be in Santa Barbara and 10 minutes from State Street. Would not pay more than what I did for the room and not something to bring anyone special too.. Spend a little more and get somewhere on the coast or right downtown where you can walk to things.

Nightlife tip:
Short drive from hotel
Downtown Santa Barbara is the only place around with any of it. Takes 10 minutes.

Not as advertised
First experience with staff on arrival was disappointing, though the woman in the morning was very helpful. I thought the hotel was three stars, not even close. I was very uncomfortable in the room, bed was like a sunken pit. Carpet was moldy smelling with red stains and air freshner in the air. TV was very nice, shower was decent, location OK though lots of road traffic heard through very old sliding glass door.

UCSB trip
The Ramada was fine, and well located to the UCSB Campus. The included breakfast was excellent! The rooms were comfortable, and adequate. We thought it was a bit expensive.

Hotel stay
Hotel was really just ok. We woke up in the morning with bites. The power was also out since 5am through the morning and all they provided were flashlights. Breakfast was skipped, no coffee. Wasn't the best experience.

Better than many
We've stayed at many Santa Barbara locations over the last 17 years - grandchildren in the area. Ramda was fine, near the 101(easy on and off) very inexpensive on a comparative basis, attractive grounds, breakfast only OK because they had not protein in the form of meat on the menu. Will stay there again.

Very deceptive as you approach from the road. Once onto the property, a very nice hotel on very pretty grounds. Thoughtful people at the Reception Desk. Very comfortable and clean room. Great for a stopover on the way up the Pacific Coast.

Pleasant stay, comfortable room
Older hotel, so don't look for trendy or stylish. Nicely maintained, quiet location (slight freeway noise, but nothing unbearable for us). No elevators, so be prepared to climb a flight of stairs if on the second floor. Nice continental breakfast, with more than just pastries, and an attentive staff that kept the fresh goodies flowing. Quick access to Highway 101, and shopping necessities are within a half-mile drive, but you'll have to drive several miles to get to the center of town. We will definitely consider staying here again.
