Nice place

Everything was nice except they didn't have a complementary breakfast like was told on the phone when I called and asked a few days before. They did provide donut holes and hot drinks for breakfast.

Good for the price

If you're looking for some place to offer you a full experience, this probably isn't the place. If you're looking for a place backing up to the ski slopes, and only using it to wind down and sleep, then i'd say it's perfect. Comfy bed, simple bathroom, nothing too fancy, but it was clean, comfortable and great for the price.

Affordable Aspen Accommodations

The staff was excellent, very helpful, friendly and welcoming. My expectations were high (maybe from the pictures online and the price), so the hotel room itself felt a little like a step up from a motel initially. But all in all, the room was comfortable and clean, and I enjoyed the outdoor pool which is slope side on the bunny hill. The hotel is conveniently located a couple miles from downtown and provides a complimentary shuttle service to and from downtown until 10 pm.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Most Restaurants in Aspen offer Bar Menus in the Bar Area. This is a great way to save money while still enjoying a great meal.

friendly, cozy but somehow pricy

I came to Aspen for the summer music festival. I stayed with this hotel for two nights. I like it as comfortable and quiet. I also like the shuttle pick-up from downtown and the hotel. I would definitely stay more nights if it is not that pricy to stay in Aspen.

Ski trip at the Inn at Aspen 2011

I went to Aspen to snowboard with 4 friends, all of whom are college-age. My arrival was a little lack-luster, as I was charged again the cost of the room (although at a cheaper price than I paid online), and the wireless router for the area my room was in was broken. The fee was reimbursed after a short chat, however, and the staff was pretty helpful, particularly about getting around Aspen (there is a complimentary shuttle bus that leaves every 10-40 minutes, depending on your destination). It was one of the two cheapest places to stay I could find in Aspen, and you can literally walk out of the lobby and onto the slope of Buttermilk. The amenities weren't fantastic, but not bad at all for the (low) price paid.

Sightseeing tip: In Hotel

The hotel has a heated pool and hot tub (which feels great after a day on the slopes), but it's next-to-impossible to find swimsuits in Aspen in the winter. Make sure to bring them with you if you want to soak.

ski vacation

Liked the lockers in the hotel, the water pitchers always available at the bar, the breakfast, the shuttle, and the proximity to the lift. Great place to learn to ski (Panda Peak area), but the mountain itself is not very beginner friendly. Fairly steep runs and very sharp turns in the green or "easy" runs. Short lift lines through out the day. We had gone to Breckenridge and I would say the mountain we skied at was much better for casual skiers but the ski school is much better at Buttermilk. FYI-the food in Aspen is pretty expensive.

Excellent Experience

The hotel was nice, but not too fancy. The location and accomodations were top notch. We especially liked the courtesy of the staff and the complementary shuttle service to and from any location in Aspen. We will definately stay here again.

Aspen on the Cheap

This is a pretty good deal financially if you are visiting Aspen. While it is not downtown Aspen, it is a short drive in depending on traffic. There is complimentary shuttle service that is very helpful in getting around town. The hotel itself isn't anything great. It is a pretty standard establishment. For the value, it is adequate for your vacationing needs. Our room had a queen bed that was pretty comfortable, a pull out sleeper sofa which we did not use, and a kitchen area that had a small fridge, microwave from 1980, and a dripping faucet. The bathroom looked like it had not been renovated since the place was built. The shower head only had one setting: narrow and choppy. Overall, a decent experience. Nothing particularly outstanding. But for Aspen, you can't beat the price if you are looking to vacation on the relative cheap.
