Good value, great service.

I really just wanted a cheap place to stay. I had plenty to do, so I just needed a place to sleep. This isn't a fancy place and the amenities are basic, but the staff is friendly and service oriented and the price was great.

Fantastic for the price.

I had read some previous reviews for this motel, some of which were not good. After staying there for 3 nights, I was very pleased. The room was comfortable and VERY clean. The staff was very friendly and courteous. No, it is not as 5 star hotel, but for the price it is an excellent place to stay. The breakfast in the morning was beyond the normal coffee and muffin type. They had waffle mix set out and you cooked them your self, boiled eggs, breads, juice and more. I would recommend this location to anyone wanting a place close to the mountains, Manitou Springs, downtown Colorado Springs or Old Colorado City. I grew up in C.S. What a great place to be.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

When you pull of the the lodge, stay on 27th St. and go on across the interstate to Colorado Ave. On the corner Is "Bon Ton" cafe. Good coffee and the friendliest wait staff you could ask for. The food and prices are great along with the cozy atmosphere. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. Or just drive to downtown, about 10 minutes, and find any king of great food you can think of. Try the "Jerusalem" cafe on Kiowa. Excellent Middle Eastern food and they even serve vegan.

Unhappy with entire package

The hotel was located in a hard to reach space especially after dark. The rental car company I feel took advantage of a hurried check in and didnt explain the complete form costing me an extra 20 dollars on the rental.

Enjoyed our stay

We enjoy our stay at the Travellodge. This is our favorite place to stay in Colorado Springs because it is close to our son's home. The staff are great at making us feel welcomed and are so helpful with information about the surrounding area.

good enough for me

It was close enough to everything. The room could have been a little cleaner but aren't most hotels that way now. across town from airport but close to almost everything you wanted to do.

leisure

Breakfast was fine. Exercise room was fine. The beds were hard to sleep on with the mattresses so old. The pillows were hard as rocks.
