Friggen loud.

Took an outside room to avoid the inside pool noise, and boy was it loud inside. The room we had on the outside was ok at best. There had to be at least five teenagers upstairs jumping and running around till midnite. Had to have the fan on and a pillow over my head. Breakfast was pretty good, only it was near the screaming brat pool. Would not go back, stay in pagosa springs at the hot springs.

Love it!

I find this Hotel is a good get away a home away from home. Its so quiet and havent really seen any children. I stayed in a room with a jacuzzi and it was excellent with the jets. There is a good variety of channels and the dvd/vcr combo was nice. i had a patio in my room and enjoyed the cool weather for a while. i had everything I needed! Including great service from the staff.

Nice location, but overpriced!

We stayed at far better hotels of this size and quality on our trip thru Grand Junction, Vegas, Flagstaff, and this one was the worse for the high price, double the price of our others so we were expecting something to brag about...not this one!

Take the train to Silverton but come back by bus! Two train rides is just too much and when you get off you are still trembling all over because of the rails...

Very convenient in a perfect location.

We drove to Durango from Kansas to take the Durango - Silverton Train midway up the valley to backpack into the mountains. The Hotel was perfect for eight people to acclimate and repack for the trip. It is only two blocks from the train station and right on the edge of the downtown shopping district. The staff served a great Happy Hour and the complimentary breakfast were perfect. The rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet. The Best Western Rio Grande Inn is close to everything you might want to do in Durango.

The hotel is two blocks from the Durango - Silverton train, there is river rafting, biking in town and trails, shopping, dinning, and a great nightlife.

Nice and quiet

The Best Western Rio Grande was a very nice hotel. The room had both a fridge and a microwave along with a coffee pot. If you didn't want to leave your room you really didn't have to. The only bad thing was they had cocktail hour until 7pm and then you had to find somewhere else to go. Fortunately a wonderful mexican restaurant was just a block a way. The room was clean and relaxing and the heater worked great. We had to park a ways from our room and we had to dry our coats from all the snow. Vey quiet and I would definately stay there again.
