Comfort Inn & Suites Durango

great experience...highly recomended. great location and staff

I tried to check in several hours early since I had to have an early flight in - but the hostess was rather short with me and said "Check in is at 3pm." When I looked surprized at her response she said, "The earliest I might be able to do is 1pm." I did thank her for that and walked away. But then another guest came up to me as I was getting in my car and said, "I can't believe how rude she was to you! I happen to know this place is practically empty and she won't let you in early?" I did tell her I was allowed to check in at 1pm and that helped her feel better about things but she was all ready to give me her list of hotels in the area so I could try somewhere else. Of course I could not do that since my reservation was through Obitz. Anyway, just thought you should know that my experience with the front desk was not what it could have been. Any other staff I met through my stay were very pleasant.

This hotel is a short drive to downtown durango-5min. The rooms are large and have comfy beds. Everything is clean and the pool and hot tub are great extras. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. I found the price very reasonable as well. We stayed in a king suite which had a sitting area that could be closed off from the sleeping area with a set of doors in case one wants to sleep longer-nice extra and each area has a tv.

Between airport and downtown and close to Fort Lewis College. Clean, accommodating, adequate breakfast included.

The Hotel was very clean and the amenities were what was expected; in other words, no surprises.

Just there for one night. Desk clerk was helpful and friendly. Eggs for breakfast were a bit weak.

We stayed at the hotel just one night, so that we could go to an appt the next day, when we checked into the hotel the staff was very friendly and our room was decent, the only thing I would change is the comfyness of the beds and the tv. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool for a little while and were concerned because the hot tub looked yellow, but it was decent. The next day at breakfast could have been improved also, the potatos were burnt, not alot of pastry selection, but all in all we enjoyed our stay.

A very nice and clean room. The pool and breakfast were perfect for all the kids.

I enjoyed the hotel. It is just a couple miles from downtown Durango and less than a mile from Santa Rita Park where the Anima River runs through. The hotel is clean and comfortable.

Pros: excellent breakfast, lots to eat and large eating area, free daily newspaper, new carpet & bath, non-smoking hotel, friendly staff, well lit parking lot, safe, great pool area. Cons: very thin walls. I had to call the front desk to tell guys next door to turn down their radio and lots of talking could be heard. Staff was responsive and call that room.
