Stay anywhere else

We got a discounted weekly rate of $220, but were staying an additional day the "discounted" rate for that was an additional $50, not even close to the $32 per day for the weekly per day. The beds had seen their best use 20 years ago, the shower hit you with scalding water whenever it felt like it, the bath towels were the size of hand towels, some of the molding was rotted, the sheets had stains of some unknown origin, and were changed only once in 8 days. The tip-off should have been that once billed, we would be charged the entire week, no refund if we cancelled early. The rooms didn't look bad at first, it was the little things and the horrid service that killed any enjoyment. I'd rather sleep in the bed of my pickup than stay in this motel again.

OK Motel, but not a great motel

The motel met minimum standards, it was clean enough, in a good location, everything worked OK,(microwave, TV, lights). The shower valves leaked BIG. Your website rated it 3 stars, it was only a 2. We had a good nights sleep. It was OK, (Average, not outstanding) Your website charged us $71.80, their regular price would have been $53.93,taxes incl. Reimbursement would in order.

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Good location on main street (Horizon Dr.) Close to interstate highway, restaurants, & convenience stores. There are better motels for the same money

Affordable Motel

Clean with nice personal touches (pillows, wall hangings), but was in need of repair, particularly the shower.

Sleep in your vehicle instead !

[...] The motel unfortunately , looked nothing like the online description . A pleasant young lady checked me and my adult son in . After trying for 10 minutes to get the door card lock to work we finally called the desk person up to let us in our room . She opened it on the first try . Upon opening the door we were immediately assulted with the very strong odor of Lysol . Strong enough to make my eyes water , and I'm a smoker .( yes it was a ' smoking room ' ) The TV would only get one channel so we called or rather attempted to call the front desk . Phone didn't work . Sent son to front desk where he was informed that TV had not been ' reset ' after last occupant . TV then worked OK . I found short hairs on my pillow and , uh . ' curly ' ones on the bottom sheet . The online reservations I made was for 2 Queen beds . The beds were doubles . Mattress hard and pillows harder . Although a list of ammenities were given online , only the alarm clock and TV were actually available . Floor was squishy in spots . I did not go barefooted ! Probably one of the worst stays I've had in over 40 years of traveling .

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

The Quality Inn , a very short walk from the Affordable Inn , is said by the locals we spoke with , to be the best place for breakfast . Our schedule did not allow us time to try it though . Friendly town but awful motel . IMHO

BED BUGS!!!!

The outside looks clean and the staff was very polite but when we checked into our room it smelled very strong like pine sol it was hard to breathe and the furniture was really old and beat up the mattresses were stained and dirty and the bed spreads were very old and gross looking we started to get itchy so we pulled back the sheets and there were bed bugs we called the front desk and asked for a refund.... Cheaper is not always better i'm still itching!!!!

Very disappointed!!!

[...]the smell of bleach was overwhelming when you walked in the room, maybe covering up another smell? The bathroom door would not shut. The tube and enclosure was badly repaired and looked dirty, plus it still leaked all over the floor. There were nice hanging plants outside on the front of the motel, however they watered them and you either got wet from them dripping or on your feet from walking thru the water that would not drain away. We had to ask for towels, there was only one set for a double bed room and a reservation for 3. We will be traveling to Grand Junction several times this year, but we will NOT being spending the night there and we will encourage others not to either. A big bummer of a stay!!! [...]

Nice Stay!

I have to admit that I was concerned when I read the other comments about this motel, But we booked it anyway. I am so glad that we did! We had a great time... we had a late check-in and the staff had turned our A/C on and our bedside lamp. The room smelled and looked great and the beds were very comfortable. The room was very clean- I think that the other comments here are ridiculous. Great price- Nice Rooms. Loved the flowers. Very homey.

Terrible Place to Stay

This hotel is just plain gross. The paint is peeling from the sinks; yes I said sinks. Our bathroom looked like a dog had been locked in there and the door was all scratched up. No light bulbs in a number of lamps, light switches that don't work. Beds bowed in the middle. It felt gross. It is what it is, an Affordable Inn.

ok hotel

The staff was friendly. They have tried to update the rooms. They decorated maybe as you would at home and even use colored/flowered sheets. The breakfast was not what I'd expect-bagels, sunbelt granolas bars, oatmeal, honeybuns and capri suns. It was fine for our need to have a place to spend the night and get on with our road trip the next day but I wouldn't want to spend more that 1 night. They really need to work at putting in new a/c units. It was very noisy and it made it very hard to sleep.

The good, the bad and the dirty.

[...]The room was roomy, had a dining table, lounge chair, king bed and microwave and half frig. On the down side, it was not particularly well cleaned -- the table was sticky and dusty and dirty. The room was too close to a busy street and the service was not the best. A request for extra towels was promptly forgotten or ignored by the front desk.
